Mastiff and EVA-8 Season 5 Thoughts

I'm getting a new router next week as mines is dying. 

As for the Mastiff, I don't think it needs a nerf. Other weapons should honestly be looked at. 

I been having fun with either Mastiff or EVA-8. Even running Double Tap for the EVA-8 which can actually beat a Mastiff player. 

There's no Legendary Mastiff either on the floor loot pool.

I had one game two days ago with me running around with a R-301/Mastiff. The Mastiff I had only had a level 1 shotgun bolt and I ended up finding the Legendary EVA-8. Obviously, the EVA-8 was the better choice here because it's a purple bolt on it. I was not wrong, I dropped 9 kills that game with 1300+ damage. I only used the EVA-8 on 2 of the kills but lets face it. I hit Mirage for 116 (60+56) while he was looting for the very last kill. Two pellets hit him in the head which was 18 damage because by math each did 9 damage each (so he had a level 2 helmet). All pellets landed 2. In this case, the max damage I could have did to him if all pellets landed and hit him including the two headshots I got off him would have been 130 (112 body eva-8 shots (16 pellets) + 18 headshots (2 pellets level 2 helm)) and I did 116 to him with Double Tap. 

A mastiff would have did 104 body shot damage to him in this case as he wasn't moving when I shot him and I wouldn't have missed. Headshot with the mastiff wouldn't have landed while EVA-8 actually does have a decent chance to hit someone in the head. 

So it is situational. I killed two people at the start of the game with the Mastiff without a shotgun bolt on it. R-45 also killed two people at the start of the match. So the rest of my kills came from 3 R-301s and 2 EVA-8. 

If I kept the mastiff I might have gotten a purple bolt off someone I killed but there's no point when I fount a maxed out EVA-8. 

In other words, I think Season 5 is also aimed to get more players to use the Double Tap Hop-Up this season.
