Monetization of the game
After all the "battle pass" little problem, i got some personal thoughts i want to share.
It's not a feedback on the new BP.... it's a feedback on the game overall, and it's my personal view, people may not approve...
In the past, on other free to play games.. i calculated i spent an average of 60€ per game... on Apex i've spent 10€, yet i played apex double the time of all the other games combined.
And i feel that there is something wrong.
Leaving aside the fact that just playing a f2p game is also a positive fact for the game, because it make possible to reach the critical number of player to make the other players worth to buy premium stuff, it's still strange that i didn't spent more.
So i checked other games i played and this is my conclusion.
Apex market system is *. I don't feel any drive to buy things... on the contrary i feel scammed if i buy something.
And here my proposal:
Eliminate Exotic shards
Eliminate Crafting materials
Eliminate the Store Page (or just keep it to sell AC)
Looting box available ONLY in the battlepass or in the events
All legend and weapon skin should be accessible with Apex coins directly in any moment (event skin excluded).. about the price... maybe the equivalent of 10€ for a gold skin.. down to 1€ or less for a common skin.
Legends and less important things like trackers or small cosmetics, should be all accessible with Legend tokens, event or gold items may be locked with AC.
Still get red shards for heirlooms in the looting box in BP and events... and sometimes make them available to buy with AC (not always to keep them more rare)
Keep the fact that if you complete an event, you get an heirloom.
In the event you should also be able to buy the skin directly with AC... but at higher price (the lootbox should be more convenient, but still if someone want to buy 1 single skin, it should be able to do so)
In the battlepass you should increase the AC to cover for the missing crafting materials
The bottom line here is that the store should be less random... it's not las vegas...
now let the flame begins.
