Nerf Lifeline Passive

Apex Legends dev needs to seriously consider a huge nerf to lifeline. She is literally the only game breaking character as she has the ability to revive infinitely and use the massively huge, unbreakable, curved revive shield as a cover. Its kinda ironic how the golden knockback shield which is rare af and hard to find is two times slower to revive and has no unbreakable revive shield while lifeline drone revive has normal revive time and basically op af. Don't tell me to use nades, lifeline can spam her ability countless time while me and my team only have limited nades. Reduce the shield size and makes it breakable and 2 times as slow as golden knockback shield.

    -her ultimate is trash( who will call carepakege and get the purple knockdown and reveal  her  location)

    - if she remain alone in the game or she remain behinde or her teammates are little far away  and face a full team  she doent have any abilities to escape like wraith, pathfinder, loba, or other legends

    - now in seazon 8 if the enemy team  is playing Fuse, Horizon and caustic and they all use the ultimate in the same time(combo) agains her she cant realy do anything

    The only thing she has good is the revive teammates and that is not realy a " huge game breaking game" but if her teammates are leaving the game and she is alone who will she revive the?( in trios and duos (not rank) there are many players who event if they got knockdown and they are leaving the game....

  • @UnderJyup007 The auto revive should go, its the worst thing they added to this game.
    It takes the kill from the player and makes knocking at any distance completely pointless.

    I don't think the revive is an issue to be honest. As you said, she has no escape ability like the others ... so she generally has to dig in and fight it out, which the revive shield can help with.

    She is very much as a support character to other players and not so much an offense character.

    @UnderJyup007 It doesn't take the kill from the players at all.   Many players now play with the tactic of finishing teams through knockdown only.    Knock down, move onto the next ... which is fine.  But for those knockdowns, there is always the possibility of another team-mate reviving the one you've knocked down.   Would you say that a non-lifeline revive is taking a kill away as well?   If you do want your kill ( or more to the point just a knockdown) 'taken', then finish off the kill properly.

    they need to buff the healing from the tactical. it feels rather weak. they need to give her a completely different ultimate. you are right in the sense that the passive is game breaking but all you need to do is put it on a timer or make the shield breakable. make the res have a 10 second cooldown.

    @Deathshot721 I suppose a 3 to 4 second pause on the revive would be OK where lifeline has to crouch stay with the player before becoming available again might balance things a little. I do agree with the tactical as well ... seems to have gotten so slow. Maybe it could a stepped charge rate. I.e. on initial attach it gives an instant 1/4 or 1/3 health, then charges slower from there.
  • @Vontesz i feel that is incorrect, that is the only real perk Lifeline has, the heal drone is super slow therefore useless really and her care package is useless given the time it takes to call her fist one you often have already gained better equipment just looting the boxes, not to mention most of the time the care package only gives blue and grey, sometimes purple but that is mostly scopes. Then take into account that Lifeline takes 5% more damage than the other characters, supposedly to compensate for diminutive figure, but everyone seems to hit her just fine anyway. If anything she needs a buff, because that shields direction is completely based on what direction she is facing and in a hail of bullets repositioning Lifeline to make use of the shield often leads to her death, also if lifeline goes down her perks stop working. She needs a buff not a nerf!!!
  • I highly disagree. Her passive is indeed strong, but its useful. Use a Revenant to silence her, if that's such a problem for you. His tactical will render her unable to auto revive for 20 seconds, giving you enough time to squad wipe her team. You can also rush her while the teammate is being picked up and shoot them down, and get her before she can respond.

    I understand people complaining about things like the Mastiff being too strong (because somehow it does a lot when console players have it and whatnot), but I never understand why Lifeline's passive is the center of attention. Its getting rather old that its still being brought up every update.

    Yeah, big unbreakable shield. But it doesn't move, and it means 1 out of 2 or 3 members can't fight for a short time. You act like her using the shield means you can't kill her team. You can though. Your number one target in these kinds of fights would always be the legend you know would give you a hard time. These are legends like Lifeline, Caustic, Revenant, Horizon, Fuse, etc. When I see an enemy Lifeline, I focus my fire on them. Once they're out of the picture, their teammates lose that advantage.

    @AnvilOfFate The thing about "when she goes down, her passive stops working", it actually doesn't. All members can be knocked down, and as long as the drone is still reviving one of the members, it will still pick them up, unless it gets interrupted, or the player gets eliminated. Unsure if it goes away when Lifeline is fully killed off though. In this case, it doesn't matter if Lifeline is knocked or eliminated, as there would be no one to defend the reviving player.
