"Nerf the thing that I die to/from the most!" Starterpack
Typical post body:
- No valuable data or suggestions to alter the weapon
- "Just remove it from the game plz"
- "Why hasn't Respawn looked at this yet?"
- Has somehow lost all interest in the game because of this one thing
- Tends to have more XP on the post if it's a weapon most streamers use
- Will have more XP on the post if it's a weapon with a high skill ceiling
- Usually from someone who only drops Fragment
Typical Responses:
- "yeah man lol needs to go i die all the time to this thing"
- Detailed reply about how the issue is just not playing against the weapon properly
- "it doesnt suck you suck"
- "I don't know man, I use it all the time without issue"
- Fallacious appeals to authority about how the top-end players/meta use the weapon
- "They won't change it because strimmers use it for this playstyle/clips"
- "It's such a low skill/no effort weapon"
- Several detailed variations of git gud
- "I am a high-ranked player, and I approve this message"
If a Weapon Receives a Nerf
- "Why does this weapon suck now?"
- Post after post about how someone isn't able to play how they used to
- "I can't play this game anymore after how they changed this gun"
- "This game isn't fun anymore"
- "They shouldn't have nerfed it, should have just put it in the care package"
- "They need to take this weapon out of the care package, pre-nerf tho"
Of the pages and pages of feedback I've scrolled through about various weapons feedback of this type, there has been very little actual discussion. Wingman, Devo, Spitfire, shotties, whatever it might be, there are very few posts that actually cite things and go more than three or four sentences.
If you want anyone in Respawn to take you seriously, provide details, examples and an alternative. Your "nerf wpn pls lol" posts have less value than your ability to stay out of cover to take incoming fire.
And that's saying something.
