Anything hitscan is immediately going to be very powerful
ADD on to that, it does EXTREMELY high damage per body shot
AND has a rate of fire that competes with longbow and triple take, and you have a weapon that is stupid OP
I think the weapon needs an increased charge up time, such that it requires tracking the target for a noticeable period of time (plus reducing the rate it does damage before it even fires)
Charge Rifle ignores leg damage just like the Mastiff does. The ticks from the laser also count as headshot damage. It's possible to hit someone for 116 with it.
Mastiff ignores the leg reduction too. Charge Rifle might as well be a Care Package weapon.
The gun just need to be removed from the game in general imo. i've most definitely hit for more than 116 with it in one shot today. was over 150. I refuse to pick it up usually but made the exception this time due to the fact that my team was pinched between two teams using them and it was sitting right in front of me. The gun is literally the most OP gun ive ever seen or used in any FPS game.
