while I am a diehard octane main and a sucker for wallrunning this would be an enormous pain to implement and knowing respawn it would probably be buggy as hell with tons of spots all over each map where you accidently wallrun through the wall and fall out of the map
honestly all octane could use at this point is at least one of the following
- lower jumppad cooldown to 50 seconds
- lower stim cost to 5 health
- raise health regen to 1 hp/s
really any of those and he'd be fine
his jumppad is honestly a swiss army knife of an ability and I'm stil trying to explore different ways to use it
- meleeing pad to scale buildings vertically
- gettin around faster
- getting into crazy spots without leaving an obvious zipline like pathfinder so you can ambush people
- blocking doors so people have a hard time going in and out of buildings allowing you to easily kill them or force them off while you heal
- placing them at the top of elevators to bounce people when they get to the top, often sending them off the building and giving yourself even more time
- reflexively placing it during a fight and using it to back off while you pop heals
- bounce downed teammates to safety
- in final circle you can bait enemies into the pad and have them bounce into the zone
- launching friendly caustic traps off into the field of battle
