Octane Rework

Octane personally needs a real rework make him more risk vs reward or generally make him must less powerful he has personally been in the meta for to long so here is my personal rework to get him back into a risk vs reward point 

Passive Stays as it is currently i have no issues with his current passive this seems to be fine given how slow the regen is at the moment 

Stim this needs a rework i don't mind the 30 percent walk speed increase and i don't mind that its 40 percent increase to increase speed for 4 to 5 seconds the main issue is the health cost this should be more dangerous for octane users like about 25 to 30 percent health per stim this way octane has to decide is a chase worth having if im going to be one shot when or if i get cornered i personally don't like that a octane can spam stim 3 times before getting to half health and it would take another 3 to almost be crit this should be looked at with wraith no longer being able to fast charge her into the void 

last his jumppad is fine but maybe make it a much longer charge up so he can't spam it as often

  • @accureyeI do agree octane needs some changes, but I think a simple but effective solution would be to slightly increase the stun damage, and return the ability for the stun to knock you (left over speed boost time doubles when downed and has the same 30% boost applied to the crawl) let me know what you think!

  • The perfect fix would be to remove the health cost,, have it as it is now, and when stim ends it starts recharging on a 10 sec cooldown.

    @GAcc_SoundRise I'd increase the health cost tbh, see if that changes the way people play him. then maybe extend the time between stim usage. and make ult go farther again. that would add risk reward feature right?

    This is a bit out there but tell me what you think.

    Octane with the same passive heal as he has now, but his tactical can be held down instead of pressed once which drains his health for the duration at a rate between 3-4x his healing rate. 

    1-2 second cool down so he can't spam it!

    Do you think this would buff him?

    He could use his stims for quick speed buffs on/off ledges and wall climb quicker without sacrificing too much of his health.

    Just an idea.

  • They have implemented all, if not most, of these ideas since the beginning of the game and ppl had issues with it all and complaints and comments have brought octane to what he is. At this point, it's a question of removing him, but no one would do that as he is a useful character. There are other characters who are too much as well but octane is pretty simple in his abilities and with that of him being a speedy runner type operator, I believe he will stay as he is bc it is easy to escape him and ik bc I'm an octane player as he is my main and I have learned him enough to understand how to play him and to understand how to escape other octanes even when im playing other characters. It's either u suggest to remove him or practice to be better at the game
