Okay when's Octane's buff coming?

Now I was praying that octane would get buffed on Season 5, but you know: delay. So I'm wondering when octane will get buffed. Because currently, The speed demon is the one the only, the worst legend... OCTANE! Seriously though buff HIM SOONER THAN LATER! Bloodhound, Bangalore, Path still, and Loba are now all as fast or faster than the SPEED DEMON! Also as everyone knows he does nothing for team/squad. I think his hitbox is still broken. Jump pad is like a death wish, while Loba takes no risk during here tactical to gain a repositioning opportunity. OH, BTW HE HAS RECEIVED NO CHANGES FROM HIS LAUNCH TO SEASON 5 AND GUESS WHAT THE ONE CHANGE WAS: REDUCE IN HIS ULT.  Which is good, but not enough. Octane has been near or at the bottom for more than a year now. I believe that is unacceptable. I don't believe any legend should be left in the back of the pack, especially for more than a year. NOW I really don't want to complain about my main anymore, but I want to speak up and speak for ALL Octane mains. And this has been WAY TOO LONG and Octane should have been buffed long ago as many have said. But I'm pretty sure we're all serious when we say we need an OCTANE BUFF NOW! For the legend, who is suppose to be the fastest legend he gets the slowest buffs.

  • Just got to wait, the Season 5 Patch Notes did mention that his changes didn't make the parse or something. Meaning the changes are somewhere behind the scenes and still needs time to adjust or get ready.

I assume the devs were doing both Mirage and Octane at the same time but put more focus on Mirage. Mirage turned out great. Honestly, you don't want them to rush Octane changes then.

It looks like Octane is getting team utility which is why is jump pad became 60 seconds. Whatever it is, it has to be something that'll make your teammates or enemies actually consider using the jump pad.

  • @031567 I'm sure the buffs will come out soon, as @Leo_the_Lion25 said, it takes time to make good buffs and frankly, yes, I am annoyed it's taking so long and how they really did leave Octane on the side for so long, but If Leo is right and they're also making Octane buffs we need to respect the Devs and wait
  • I think it's worth mentioning some more details into his recent changes. One of the things that is incredibly unique about his reduction in ult recharge is that it essentially makes it so that rather than having an ultimate, he has two different tactical abilities. This may seem like something that you don't want but when you think about it it actually is very useful. He has some potential for a lot of repositioning and preparation. I've already seen teams set up 3-4 jump pads in a row and use them as a way of getting in and out of fights in one area. I was honestly kind of stunned. And you may think that he is incredibly vulnerable when he is using the pad, but the biggest difference and advantage that he has over Loba is that when he is repositioning, he still has the ability to shoot at people. Loba has at least 3-4 seconds while using her tactical where she is the most vulnerable character in the game. From the time it takes her to pull off her bracelet, throw it, wait for it to land, teleport, and then put the bracelet back on her wrist, there are so many windows to mess her up while she is attempting to reposition. I definitely agree that Octane needs a little more love, but I think that maybe we need to wait and see what they already have planned for him. If nothing changes soon, then I would say that the ultimate way to buff octane without providing any overwhelming advantage is to make it so that he can move at top speed(the speed in which most legends put their guns away) while still being able to use his guns. let him aim down sights, hip fire, whatever he wants to do, but let him continue to do it while he is moving at a full sprint, even while stimmed up. If they need to do something to balance it out a little more, they just make his aim a little harder to control while he is doing that, but with just more recoil or less stability. something along those lines.
