Pathfinder & Banaglore Rework Ideas (Also idea for a new Apex Legend)

I will group these by Legend, changes and quick summary of why.

Pathfinder:

Passive: Faster movement when using zip-lines.
Tactical: Zip-line with a base 35 second cool down (each survey beacon reduced tactical cool down by 2.5 seconds capped at 25 seconds)
Ultimate: remove cool down reduction for using survey beacons

Reason for new passive is that now all recon characters are able to access the survey beacons he effectively is the only legend without a passive ability. The Zip-line has been nerfed too extremely and having the cool down on the ultimate doesn't really make such as a difference at the minute as i still see a lot of zip lines being deployed. So putting this on the tactical will increase pick rate again and overall balance to Pathfinder.

Bangalore:

Passive: Add voice quip to let team know which direction the firing is coming from. If multiple squads are firing on Bangalore then "Multiple Squads firing on my location".
Tactical: Add a toggle for a single canister of electric smoke. with a cool down time of 25 seconds. effectively having 2 smokes and 1 electric smoke.
Ultimate: Add the ability to remote detonate all rockets once the last rocket has landed. 

Reason for the quip is for additional support when players do not use mic's. Tactical change would provide a great counter for people who will not move from high ground in later rounds and would provide excellent counters for Pathfinders zip-line into high locations as well as just flushing out annoying sniper nests. With the ultimate i feel as though it should be able to be used both to create distance as intended and also aggressively. The change would help Bangalore players push and defend depending on play styles.

NEW LEGEND IDEA

Cooper:
Heirloom: Data Knife

Passive: Quick Swap - Quicker reload speed for Assault rifle's.
Tactical:  Time Shift - Similar to Wraiths Phase Shift but with a twist. cool down 40 seconds
Ultimate: Jumpkit -Wall-running and Double Jump for 15 seconds. cool down 290 seconds / Incoming damage increase 5%

If you are a Titanfall player you will know that Cooper is the playable character for the campaign. I think this would be a good throwback to titanfall's movement style without it being a permanent change. Already we have seen the introduction to class based passives with Rampart's increased LMG mags. The tactical would work the same as Wraiths but you can time shift for max 8 seconds. Being in time shift would see the player shifted into the original unchanged version of the map. allowing you to simply run over larva crevices as they did not exists. Only draw back is that the time shift map is populate with free roaming animals (from the bloodhound trails) so you aren't completely safe from damage when shifting. The ultimate would help in situations where you need to quickly reposition or even push. The increased incoming damage would stop non tactical pushing and the cool down time would make it only used a few times per game. Not near enough to make people rage about it.

  • Interesting ideas. I especially like electric smoke for Bangalore and remote detonation. Faster zip for pathfinder would be nice too.
