I play with both controller and mouse on PC.
The whole argument and discussion around that controller players with Target Compensation outplays MK and that it should be removed or crossplay removed seems fake to me.
It seems to come from players that struggle with the game and get outplayed a lot. I won't be surprised if they even transfer their frustration of being outplayed by MK players onto controller players and have controller players as their "punching bag" to release game-frustration onto. Instead of blaming themselves, it's much more comfortable to their ego to blame another group of players and the differences in control mechanics attached to that.
What's interesting and a point that should be made is that whenever a console player wants to be able to use mouse+keyboard on their console there is uproar because this is considered OP.
I play with both controller and mouse+keyboard and mouse is superior at range and there is no way controller is able to control the recoil and track the way a mouse does.
Especially with high recoil weapons, like the Havoc, the mouse is superior to a controller when controlling recoil and tracking. And on top of that you can have the insane levels of mouse sensitivity that generally makes your gameplay much faster than a controller. Respawn don't seem to want to increase the max sensitivity on controllers though.
Horizontal recoil especially is generally almost gone with a mouse, but with a controller it drifts easily. This is because a mouse is placed steadily on a table while a stick is constantly in movement and has acceleration to it as well. The first thing you do when playing with a mouse is turning off acceleration.
At mid-range to longer range there is a huge difference in accuracy and I am able to laser down players, but with a controller I don't have that level of stability and tracking control and miss much more. At close range Target Compensation can also ruin it for me because the slowdown is too slow, maxing out stick movement and missing.
