I am personally deeply tired of people leaving the game because they die quickly or otherwise and it destroys our opportunities in the game, so either have to have done so it is not possible to live until everyone is dead otherwise people should have 24 hours of ban, show They leave before everyone on one's team has died too many times in a day

I feel like there are more legitimate problems you guys could be solving rather than punishing the people who play the game... maybe try fixing the problems that cause them to leave in the first place?

It staggers me that people think this is a good idea.a penalty for leavers will not change anything, it’ll just decimate the player population. You really think the hot-drop addicted wraith main will start playing the game the way you want them to if threatened with 5 minutes on the naughty step? No mate, they’ll go back to Fortnite where they can do what they like, including queuing solo to avoid this argument all together.like everbodys favourite mini-goth mental health patient herself says: This only ends one way....

If I didn't make my point the first time I doubt this post will. Punishing anyone for the way they play for better or worse isn't going to help Apex keep it's player base. We need other options with different game modes to satisfy everyone. Some people it seems were just never cut out for a three man team. I won't call them a squad since it's my opinion that a squad is at least four people. That's not the point however. You want people to stop leaving make it easier for everyone to find the type of game they want to play so that doesn't happen as often. Add solos and duos to the mix and you'll see a drastic change with less people leaving. I know for a fact I'd stick to duos since most of the time it's only my son and I that play together while the third person either tries to take all the loot before we can then leaves us with scrapes or they leave us to die or revive ourselves. This is very unconducive of team play.

And I'm tired of awful teammates that don't ping anything, steal absolutely all the loot and leave you with nothing but a p2020 with no ammo, and most importantly don't make any attempts to revive you or recover your banner-especially when you've died as a result of any of the above or because your jump master decides to go to a terrible area.Granted, it is really annoying when people leave instantly when none of this is the case and you are clearly making every attempt to recover them, or because you picked 'their' legend, but how do you find such a balance when trying to implement a penalty like this?Should I be punished with a ban of any time because I didn't want to sit and watch my team run around aimlessly after ditching me and my banner?Also big point here; I made a separate topic complaining about bugs, one of which is the fact that I am completely unable to do hotdrops such as skull town and market as my game bugs out and causes horrendous audio glitches and frame losses and lag which render the game almost unplayable until a large number of the teams have been killed (but I mostly just die instantly in these situations due to the game literally not working). - Most people want to do these drops, and I physically can't until the bugs are fixed, so I would be forced to tag along and die then watch my team do whatever or get a time penalty? Seems unfair to me.I am a team player and do my best to help evryone and communicate properly, and am even against a solo mode due to the fact that the game works well as a team-oriented fps, but sometimes people just don't want to play along properly My point being that I really think it's too difficult to say whose at fault and implement penalties or bans of any kind.Be happy that at least a good point is apex has a fast lobby system etc so you can quite easily and quickly join a new game yourself if your team dc's an ruins it for you, plus with the ability to now invite previous players you can now find a decent team and then stick with them.TL;DR: too many variables to dictate who's at fault for leaving, atleast matchmaking is fast and we can invite a good team once we've found one. Bans and penalties will only kill a large percentage of the playerbase.

I agree!! Its extremely frustrating!!! I am getting so sick of people disconnecting when they die and I clearly ping their banner. So ridiculous!

A leavers penalty is getting implemented very soon.

I disagree with 24 hours; I do agree with the necessity of penalties though. When penalties are introduced, Respawn should also implement a rejoin button in case somebody just really crashed.
IMHO the approach then should be the following:
1. as long as the original match lasts the quitter cannot join a new game at all,
2. after that an automatically increasing time penalty starts; 1st quit within a certain time period 10 minutes ban, 2nd quit 30 minutes, third quit 1 hour, and so on, up to 24 hour,
3. combined with XP penalty for a certain period of games.

This mindset is exactly what's the reason for the quitter problem and the resulting need to handle it.

Really want people to stop leaving games give us other game mode options. I know for a fact solos and duos have been asked for. We all end up on a bad team with poor sportsmanship with the way it works right now. I started out with the idea that I should never leave only to find teams that care little or less of my death or don't even care to just revive when they can after the squad that we were fighting is killed. If you don't want players to leave encourage teams to play together as a team. Or give others alternative modes to play in stead of punishing people that leave because they were left for dead before their timer runs out. Punishing them after this fact is moot anyway since they can't be brought back into play by any method and to force them to watch is a waste of time in a game that requires you to gain XP in order to just level up.

I've waited near people many times for them to run off, There needs to be a Ban for people who abandon downed team mates 1 week ban.

this leavers penalty gonna ruin this game,i usually leaves because i dont wanna play with rookie players and there is no other game lobbies or no custom lobbies for pro players.
those who wanna this leaver penalty gonna regret later. stupid kids .
this game seriously need more game lobbies for rookie, pro or intermediate players.

I won't disagree here since I still consider myself a rookie player. I know I need to get better. It's hard to do that when higher players leave the game before it starts or just leave you to die and not really give you a chance to help the team or get better yourself. Other game modes or a rank system would help a lot more than a penalty for leaving a game.
