Question About Unfair Ban/Suspension
Hello,
I was recently banned for an incident where I was flamed by a random in a ranked match, and my responses seem to have gotten me permabanned with no action taken towards the other player.
I have since filed two ban appeals through EA, one which they told me they reviewed my account and were not going to lift the ban, and I have filed another since.
This player harassed and provoked me with racial slurs through voice, and before leaving the match I both responded to and reported this player, but I was -permanently- banned for what I said in retaliation via text chat, qualifying as "illegal harassment violent/sexual"..
I comprehend that it's against terms and conditions still to engage and respond in flaming, but needless to say I'm really upset that this incident left me with a PERMANENT ban, not even a temporary ban, meaning my season 4 account with a decent chunk of cash put into battlepasses and coins is now gone because I let someone provoke me into a toxic response... but it's insult to injury that the content of the other player's verbal abuse was overlooked, likely because it was in voice chat and not text.
I typically record my matches and I'm beating my head against the wall that I hadn't been recording that match, because I would have at least had some proof that I was provoked beforehand- but what I am really wondering is if anyone has disputed similar bans and actually had successful appeals?- Or, should I just give up and forget about my account?
- @XLCS888 What you said is on record, and what the other player said is irrelevant to your ban. You broke the terms of service clearly.
I would love to know if the game is able to ban people based on voice chat, but I'm guessing they can't without video proof.
Even if the other player were banned, however, that wouldn't do anything to get you unbanned. It's gone. Sadly.
Sometimes mistakes with your mouth can have huge consequences, much worse than getting permabanned in a video, I may add.
