@DaleWWilson95What are you asking exactly, prowler is heavy ammo while r-301 is light ammo which are 2 different ammo classes, they are also different weapon classes prowler is a smg while r-301 is an assult rifle but Prowler isn’t necessarily a smg in bursts until you equip select fire

@FaIIenAngeI777As confusing as shields tbh xp like if orange ammo is light mags and green is AR//heavy, prowler is more AR and the R301 is more sub, they should redo weapon customises by ammo type even the G7 uses light but deals AR damage
- @DaleWWilson95 R-301 is definitely an assault rifle the firing speed isnt quick enough and it just dosnt work like a smg does, prowler shoots faster than r-301 with selectfire and is actually stronger than a R-99 so its more of an smg

How is it confusing?
Light ammo weapons are in a brown box, Light ammo is a brown box.Heavy ammo weapons are in a green box, Heavy ammo is a green box.
Snopper ammo weapons are in a purple box, Sniper ammo is in a purple box.
The the right colors together.
It would be a challenge to make it easier then it already is.
You are clearly overthinking it.
- DaleWWilson956 years agoSeasoned Ace@FaIIenAngeI777 If R301 is AR then why not AR/Heavy/Green mags? Why light mags? Would the r301 be to op withh heavy ammo because of accuracy? Idk just feels weird picking up an smg and needing heavy mags
You shouldnt focus on the name "heavy" and "light" too much. In the end, its just a classification/categorization of weapon and its ammo; they could be called yellow and green ammo for all I care =)
I think the original idea was that guns using heavy ammo were supposed to have slightly higher DMG per bullet hit (not dps) put slightly lower bullet travel velocity, whereas weapon using light ammo would have lower damage per bullet but slighly faster velocity. This is mostly accurate I think, with exception of the G7 Scout, which has both a fast bullet travel velocity and a high dmg per bullet.
Regardless, the name heavy and light is not supposed to reflect on how "big" of a gun it is. A R301 can use light ammo and a Prowler use heavy even if the Prowler is smaller =)
- @DaleWWilson95 Light and heavy dosnt choose wether a weapon is an AR or SMG, for example a Havoc is also an Assault Rifle, while a devotion is a LMG the type of ammo dosnt really matter that much imo weapon types are based off of firing rate, the size of the mags like LMGs have huge magazines regardless if its a spitfire with heavy ammo or a devotion/L Star with energy ammo and as @Babbediboopi said other factors like the ammount of bullet drop and ammount of damage per shot also seperate the weapon types

@BabbediboopiSo basically the weapons have a damage output and the bullets have there own to..?
- @DaleWWilson95 No, its differenz for each weapon. A Wingman hits way harder per shot than a Prowler for example.
