I am so thankful for the Steam Deck. It means games come to Linux and that we can finally use an open source operating system for gaming. The exact opposite of consoles (save for the Steam Deck)! There's been a bit of debate about the word "console" ever since the Deck was announced. I absolutely love that there's an open, PC-like console.
