Every battle royale game has a problem with being 3rd partied. Lets face it, we all love 3rd partying but when we are on the other end of the stick we hate it.

And lets be real here, you gain full shields by looting your enemys shield. Its up to you to take that risk if you feel its rewarding. Take cover, heal up, prepare your defense. 

Or dont take that fight to begin with. Its a battle royale, do what you can to win. If you feel there are other enemies close by dont take that fight. Within higher ranks people barely fight unless they really REALLY have to. Fights draw attention and bring more people. Its like a reapawn ship. Everyone in the area knows you will be 1-2 person down (weak) and people will push for a freasy kill/wipe. 

TL:DR: 3rd parties will happen up to you to decide to take the inital first fight and risk being 3rd partied
