I used the drone revive in season 14 during the anniversary event.
It was the same length as a normal revive, but only in drone view. You had to hold the button as normal.
Drone got shot, lifeline quit.
It lasted for two weeks, then no more drone revive.
I would like them to add it back, bring it back.
The balance of the revive is the drone can't take a darn hit or it gets destroyed. It's only 50 HP after all.
I'd love to show you my chart of legend partnership upgrade ideas.

    @Zulkiers Crypto never had the ability to revive knocked teammates. He was only given the ability to grab banners off his teammate's deathboxes while using the drone and could also interact with respawn beacons while using the drone as well.

    If Crypto is using his drone to respawn his teammates, its an instant respawn.

    I specifically remember trying to revive Lifeline using my drone view while I hid on the other side of a building. Drone got shot mid revive, then lifeline quit.
    Got him free from anniversary, as well as Ash.
    Joined season 14 (Vantage's debut).
    At least for that match, I was able to drone revive from drone view. On Lifeline at least. Never had much of a chance to use it again.
    Season 18 comes around, go back to crypto, no more drone revive. I was playing the legends as I unlocked them, not maining certain ones. I was NewCastle for the Longest time. I still like NC, I just wish people would get shocked and blasted back when touching your Revive Shield so they can't stand on your head, be dragged by you, and shoot you in the head at the same time. I actually recorded that one.
    The drone is so weak, any actions it is able to do need to be done either as fast as or faster than live people, not slower. If it was tankier than a player, then sure slow down the process, but no the darn thing is one tap. Normally. I wish I recorded that revive attempt. I'd put the YT link in here so you could see it existed.

    @Zulkiers Was Lifeline's knockdown shield golden? If I recall correctly at the time you're talking about, the golden knockdown shield still had self-revive. If it did, Lifeline might of thought you could use the drone to revive them as well, but when nothing happened, Lifeline just used the knockdown shield's self-revive.

    For most players in pub matches, when they get shot at while knocked, it usually means they're going to get killed off. That would explain why Lifeline had then left the match after your drone was destroyed.

    The Gold Revive has ALWAYS been greater heals on revive. The self revive went away season 10 or something, long before my time.
    There was a DOC-like tether from Hack to Lifeline, and she was getting picked up.
    Just as she gets to her feet, drone gets destroyed, thus cancelling the basically complete revive.
    Then she left.
    She also got shot in the back after drone got shot. Same shooter that took out Hack.

    We'd basically just landed. Our best KDS was blue.
    Quit saying it didn't happen. I know what I did. I know what I saw. I wish I recorded it.

    @Zulkiers Just to clearify, the golden knockdown shield took on the golden backpack's perk in S14, which was Vantage's season. Each season lasts about 3 or so months, so it can be easy to get them mixed up.

    However, if it really was during season 14, it might of had been a bug or something that was being tested. It also could of been something accidentally added when they gave him the ability to pick up his teammate's banner cards while in his drone. If it was an accident, its been about 4 years since this feature was added, and from what I can recall, you couldn't use respawn beacons while in his drone during the early years of this ability.

    I could pick up banners and instantly use the respawns and recons. Still can. Nothing has changed.
    The only thing changed is A) {most recent} new armor system. B) {soon after I got him} No more DOC wire from Hack to allies, nor a prompt to revive. Perhaps the wire still exists, but only the prompt died, and with no prompt, no way to access the feature. They should bring it back. Killing that feature didn't change my playstyle, only made me more useless to my team.

    I still find it hilarious that I often make 12 respawns per life as Crypto, assuming my team is about as good a shot as me (utterly terrible) and stuck with me through their multiple deaths.

    Since I joined, Gold revive has always been better health revives, Gold Backpack extra rare healing items, gold helm faster cooldowns, gold armor double basic med potency. I'm sad they got rid of the gold armor. It was a life saver, especially if you got caught outside the ring. Made syringes insanely more useful.
