it is not all as bad as you make it sound.

I played 4 matches last night Solo Q ranked and placed top ten in all of the games one was a top 5 and the last game we won. 

None of my sqd mates were premade duo's either so we were completely a three stack of Randoms. 

Sure Vantage is out there and makes things difficult but what legend makes anything easy?

I played approx 10 matches yesterday and 75% of them I was stomped on by pre-mades. Once two tapped just by Snipers mark and once one-shotted by Snipers-mark + Longbow dont even know from where.

Those are Gold2 games for you... Im used to play in Diamond till S13 where its just pre-made Preds there (then I stopped playing). Game is slowly becoming unplayabble for me, I mean its okay if you play just few games, but I was used to play 8+ hours per day and I could enjoy that before S13 gone live and its even worse in S14, dont wanna see S15. To be honest looting is the part I enjoy the most nowadays.

It is really bad or Imj just bad in the game.

I think this is your greater concern and not really Vantage. 

But like i said before Solo Q-ing is not as bad as you make it out to be at least in Plat and below. 

If you want to compete with the diamonds, Masters and Preds you are going to have to play like most of them do and three stack.

Its not that bad later in splits, but it is bad first week or two.

I think Im gonna pass on competing at all. I dont have what this game is based on. 🙂

I just wish we could get random only lobbies for Ranked, but I dont think it will ever happen.

Duo stacks are not that bad if one of them is random, I dont see any difference in that, but 3-stack is just too much, they are tyoo coordinated and stuff playing like one and this is what I think is ruining the game for solo players.

Vantage is broken, its just free charged sentinel the whole game as third weapon and when abused by pre-made its one free kill at the start of every fight.

I agree the first week or two of a new season and the first week of the split can be grueling.

I do think you have what it takes and from what you describe you have attained at least at some point Diamond Rank, I have never gotten there myself so do not count yourself out.

I just cant enjoy this game like S12. I like this game and everything, but that matchmaking is really a problem not gonna lie.

Its still playable and everything but too many matches is just waste of time when you get one-tapped or heavily outnumbered first fight in GOLD2. :D

Even Overwatch team-based game has matchmaking wchich will try to not put random team against pre-made. I think Apex needs this really bad.

I think dev team should listen to people calling for this but what they do is buffing pre-mades instead... You know what I mean ? Why not to create one random ranking leaderboard and one pre-made ? I dont think its that hard. Why not to give them what they want to be happy in this game ?

Enlighten me please on What is it that you "Think" the game was meant to be?

My understanding is that it is a BR where the goal is to win or am I mistaken? 

Is it that you think the goal is to get like 6 kills or more and constantly place 12 or worse?

Outside of pure enjoyment, games are meant to be played to win right? or am I wrong ?

Case in point, when have you ever heard of a team/player in any game or sports say hey lets go out and score a lot of points and lose the game?

We may have different views and that is fine by me, we may have different play styles and that is also fine by me. In fact that is what being a part of a Forum is, sharing different views and experiences, to either help one another out and or to help possibly improve the game.

I think the "sniper meta", which I guess is a result of the round/circle changes, the latest legend design and item changes, is an attempt from Respawn to establish the same meta/way to play the game competitively for all ELOS. Thats how it is with pretty much all competitive games like CSGO, LoL, Valorant etc, i.e that the pro scene/highest elo establishes the current meta and all the elos beneath follow its example, trying to mimic the pros. Even in LoL Bronze, people are playing adc+support botlane, usually mage mid and tank top etc even though nothing prevents them from playing the game however they want. But if you think about it, Apex is TOTALLY different, especially before S14. In bronze to gold, you usually play like pubs, just run, fight, die etc.

I dont say I like it but matches now, even in silver/gold, is at least more like pro matches now. In pro games, they land, loot and then holds the same spot as they plan how to approach the next ring and then they move to a new spot and hold until the next round etc etc. And everyone avoids fighting until its absolutely necciserly: seems like its this Respawn want us to play the game also in low elo    =(

I hear you and think what you are talking about in your last post is a pretty well founded statement.

However I think it is a reflection of the changes to ranked entry costs, along with how and when KP multipliers start to kick for gaining positive RP that actually is fueling the rigid and sometimes slow positional play. Vantage does help cater to this type a play more than a little.
