revants climbing buff is too much

  • I disagree. It gives Revenant vertical mobility on par with Pathfinder, Horizon and Valkyrie. I've done some research in the Firing Range and have concluded:

    • Revenant's max climb height is lower than Valkyrie's max height with jetpacks
    • Revenant's max climb height is about the same as Horizon's gravity lift max height
    • It's just about higher than Pathfinder's grapple

With these statistics in mind, and the fact that Revenant is still slightly underwhelming as a solo legend, I have to disagree.

IMO, there shouldnt be a single ability in game, that barely has any repercussions when executing them. Basically giving each player a "second chance"of course, if you like the 30% of the player base are in gold rank, you are not able to understand these problems. revenant and octane are abused like nothing else in diamond+

The problem is its creating yet another legend on the mobility side that further exposes the weakness of the defensive legends.  I am not saying it is overpowered though, I don't think its that much of a buff, its nice . . but has situational use.

  • @gubygangsterYT I think his climb height is fine, I don't have any problems with that, but he needs to have some sound. He's pretty much completely silent while climbing, which makes sense thematically - he's an assassin robot killing machine - but it's way too strong in game.

Valkyrie's jetpack is VERY loud, you can hear that thing from hundreds of meters away.

Pathfinder grapple is LOUD you can always tell when a Path grapples anywhere near you, or is flying in the air.

Horizon Gravity Well is LOUD, you can tell when it's anywhere near somewhere that could reach you.

Octane Jump pad is LOUD, anytime anyone takes it you can hear it from a long ways away.

Same with Path's Zipline Gun ultimate, or Valkyrie's Ult, or Loba's Bracelet. Any movement ability is loud. But Rev's climbing is almost entirely silent, so it's nearly impossible to tell where he's climbing, if he's climbing, or how far up he is. Which lets him sneak up on you too much, I think.

@Nightstick24 Silent assassin kinda his thing lol. His entire solo kit idea is about "getting the drop" on enemies. If they made it loud or make noise it would ruin his entire character design and solo power. His ultimate has a LOUD audio queue tho when he activates it.
  • i mean this is what im talking about, getting killed by a silent rev in endgame pred lobbies. we are set up for end game and you get killed by stuff you cant defend. i think sound is the solution here
