SBMM is bad
Lately I have been improving in the game, I finally got one 3k badge and raised my kd to 1.6 from 1.2. However, the game just keeps getting harder. I feel proud of how much I have improved but that n...
@shehab_yahya1996Non-ranked games aren't supposed to be easy, they just don't have anything tied to them game to game the way ranked does. Ranked is not "sweaty" because the higher ranked you get the better you are at the game, you get better at ranked in ranked (i.e. camping, avoiding fights, not pushing everything, etc.).
One has a set a rules that rewards specific game play, the other has no rewards (or punishment - negative RP).
SBMM ONLY puts players against equally skilled players, has nothing to do with wins/ losses, so the better you get, the better opponent you're going to go against. Now yes, I agree that it appears their tiers for "skill" appear to be Newbies/Noobs/Potatoes/4k-20 bomb-50k kill and nothing in between each tier which needs to be improved upon, but SBMM is supposed to make sure you don't go running around completely owning lower skilled lobbies, which is a good thing.
You know I don't want to play in a 5x5 spot hiding behind a car with my entire team surrounded by caustic traps, being protected by Gibby's dome and every time I peak I got shot by 3 teams, and waiting for my wraith ult to move to my next spot. This literally happened to my quite a few times in pred lobbies, while I can't get past Plat 3. Does this really sound like a fun game? Patience is running out and the most loyal players are getting sick of the game so that new players who have a very low chance of playing constantly enjoy the game.
Sounds like a bad business model to me
The idiotic thing about EOMM is the fact that it might make me play the game longer but for the long term it makes me hate the game and eventually stop it.
