Please let the charge rifle have some utility. I understand you didn't want the hitscan gun from before but now it is just awful in every way. If you land on it you're basically dead. Let it have some alternate fire thing via a hopup or select fire.
Shattercaps or something like it splitting into a cone-arc shotgun-thing?
Burst fire? More rapid shots? A big slow ball that flies forward damaging anyone that stays inside the ball.

I'm very sorry to say that they're not going to change this gun again ever. It's exactly where they want it to be: out of the game. A bunch of hard stuck diamond streamers complained about it because it's easier to complain than it is to learn how to respond. Which they don't want to do because they believe that all shooters are close-range shooters and they would never be willing to give up one of their gun slots for a mid-range weapon which they think is always useless, but especially useless in the endgame. And the developer agrees because when are streamers ever wrong about anything?
The real kick in the shorts, imo, is that they have to leave it in the loot pool so kids with skins don't get pissed, and then there it is: clogging up the loot pool which is already thin enough to leave a player starving. Last season was a disaster for getting to top five while still running a place holder weapon. This season is even worse.
