I dont care what the excuse is. Call of duty had footstep audio over 10 years ago on a Xbox 360. Youre telling me they cant figure it out in 2019 with all this new technology available? Probably 20% of the times I die are because I couldnt hear the enemy
@TperodactylNot making excuses mate, I don't work for em 🙂 The base engine they've modified is from a game released in 2004, so archaic problems when we get to the more esoteric bugs etc isn't that unusual.

They game audio is bugged, footsteps are unpredictable and sometimes non existent, although it’s a free game w the amount of money they made of it technical difficulties should be keen on fixing instead of focusing solely on the gun play.

I complained about footstep volume too, but for me, it wasn't until after revenant came out. I proposed that his footstep audio file got added to all the legends lol. cause that is what it feels like.
I also think their volume should be boosted a little and reduce all other sounds, especially the person who announces ring movement, i sometimes take off my headphones because it hurts thats how loud it is.
But like the weapons, the audio is not balanced.. You shouldn't be able to hear someone healing a mile away, but for the person healing, they can't hear anyone coming up to them until they are already on top of them.
- 5 years ago@SolitaryMassacre Audio priority is whack imo.
I can always hear gun fire 300+ meters away.
I can always hear friendly footstep audio, but it is usually delayed and makes me think enemies are near.
I can rarely hear enemies moving behind me. If there is any other audio cue within 300+ meters, footstep audio is completely mute.
Audio cues should have a play priority and not completely override eachother when anything happens.
My proposed audio cue order:
1) all movement: footsteps, stim, zipline, grapple, portal, rev ult, etc
2) bullets fired near / at your team
3) explosions from ultimates, grenades, etc
4) those teams fighting 500 meters away - 5 years ago@Pallo420 I agree 100 percent.
Just finished a round where I was fighting and someone literally walked RIGHT UP TO ME and lit me up. Dropped me instantly I had no idea they were even coming. There needs to be a change.
