now it feels like an actual ship instead of a flying sloth, i know it shouldnt make too much difference since i am usually on the ship for about 5 seconds but it feels much better now

It changed a lot about how you should drop honestly. Before the change, I would ping a spot, and go around 1100m away. No need to do that now unless the ship isn't going any closer. Get closer and drop and beat the early droppers. I really do like the change but am still getting used to it!

The speed increase was probably done so players will choose to land further away from the spawn point more easily. Waiting to drop isn't punished as hard anymore because you fly faster. I have no idea if the 'stay on jump ship longer and drop straight down' or 'jump earlier and drop diagonally' is faster, but the change is probably more noticeable if you want to land further away from the dropship start location. It feels good now. Whenever the jumpmaster wants to land further away from the initial spawn point, the waiting time is reduced by 50%.

The thing is, the drop ship was always faster than glide speed, not sure why they buffed it but I'm ok with it.

Yeah, it really adds nothing to the game, other then wait time on the ship. You still have to time your jumps at the right moment to get there first if the ship is fast or slow..... they said they buffed the speed due to players behavior.... I'd like to know what there talking about....

It changes nothing, it's all about timing of your jump whether the ship is fast or slow. You claim you can beat the early jumpers now... no, it's because they didn't time there jump right, they jumped to early. You won't see any difference in the game once people adjust to the new speed.. the buff is useless.

It cuts down on the amount of time you have to wait on the ship until you get to the other side of the map. In some cases, there could be a zone with Epic loot on the other side but it felt like it took too long to get there. Now, you can get there faster and be capable of looting up sooner too.
