The Spitfire is terrible in season 2, revert the nerfs

When you have it decked out with lvl 2 and 3 attachments the accuracy on it is quite nice. If your two squadmates use EVA-8's the Spitfire can be a great compliment in case you have to go to hipfire. 

The team has said before that not all weapons are designed to be equally good. Some will be great early game while others will excel deeper into the rounds. 

Do you find it easier to hit targets at over 100 yards away with the Flatline or Spitfire?

Sure not all weapons should be equally good but there is literally no reason whatsoever to pick up a Spitfire right now if you can find another gun. The reason being that its literally the lowest DPS full auto weapon and extra map size cant offset that in a fight.

Furthermore the Spitfire is rare to semi-rare weapon while being pretty much the worst in the game right now. Isnt it the point for the rarer weapons to be slightly stronger otherwise why are the rare?

At long distances the Spitfire misses a significant number of shots due to random spread so its already a mediocre long range gun. You might as well have the Flatline in all situations since its basically 40 dps higher. The extra mag capacity on the Spitfire is irrelevant.

It was one of my favorite guns but now I wont pick it up unless I dont have a gun and drop it immediately when I find another.

I did 11 kills (would have been 13) and 1810s damage with the spitfire/301 today and still love the gun. I do which it was 20 dps again though.

However, the only issue I have is I have a hard time finding the spitfire and see more Devotions that Spitfires. 

I agree it's nowhere near where it used to be but it's still worthwhile if, like above, you can find one. 

The DPS is a worry but where it comes into its own is the the amount of bullets with a decent magazine. I've won so many gunfights using the spitfire (and another gun of course) because the opposition suddenly realise they have to swap weapons or reload while I can continue shooting, so they run. That's when I just give chase and finish them off.

Sorry but this proves nothing.

1. You can literally run around only punching people and get 11 kills and 1810 damage if your opponents were bad enough. Does this prove that punching is a viable alternative to using guns? No. You also explicitly stated you were using 2 different guns.

2. No one said that the Spitfire does 0 damage and cannot kill someone. Its stats are OBJECTIVELY worse than other guns however. Its DPS is the lowest among full auto weapons and it doesnt have amazing accuracy. Its accuracy is okay at best while there are other weapons that have both higher DPS AND higher accuracy.

Spitfire litterally killed 10 people while 301 killed 1 person. Yeah...

Clearly a single match against probably bad opponents based on your anecdotal statements proves that the gun is amazing. Brilliant reasoning, thanks for posting.

Can't agree on that is almost the worst Gun in the game. With a Purple mag you can handle almost everything before having to reload.

Ya, too bad anyone with a R-301, R-99, Alternator, RE-45 or Flatline does 40 more DPS than you killing you first without having to reload unless they have terrible aim. All those bullets in that mag doing a lot for you when you're dead..
