Thermite Grenade
This grenade is almost useless, so can I have time to rework it? Besides, it happens that the effect of this weapon (flames) jumps around the textures of the surroundings and models of the characters...
@preyandplay I agree. I was about to write a feedback post for this as well, but you've already beaten me to it.
In a nutshell, I think the damage needs to be amplified on the thermite grenade, and it needs to have a timed fuse, so when thrown in the air, a larger area can be sporadically covered in flames that can deal trickle damage, where as a concentrated puddle on a target can cause insanely quick and heavy damage.
I just don't see it that way. You buff it too much and it will become a must use weapon to initiate fights. It's instantaneous so I don't think it should be on par with the arc star and grenades damage. I have no trouble doing damage to players with this grenade. Preyandplay, you're saying there is no cover in the open map, no rocks or obstacles people hide behind?
I think this grenade could be changed but still do the same thing. If instead of creating this janky almost useless line of fire damage, it could instead pulse out in an aoe every second 3 or 4 times and burn someone for x amount of damage if they just stand in it. I like the idea of the grenade, it just feels useless most of the time. Why take a thermite when you could just take an arc instead which is better 99% of the time.
