Thoughts on seer reinforcement

Seer buff is OP, for sure. 

His tactical is being abused. My teammate said he has a perk to use his tactical more frequently when in his ultimate. I don't play Seer so I'm not for sure. I just finished a match and came to the forum to check for a post about this buff. 

Valk, Seer, Axle meta is tough. Gotta fight fire with fire I guess. I'm about to switch to Seer for a little bit. 

I like playing burst-type heroes, but I can't do anything against Seer, it's so frustrating.

I tried playing Seer but I just don't like his kit. I won't be jumping on the van wagon. Seer is good with a coordinated team. 

I like playing Crypto. I'm going to keep on EMPing. 😁

This Seer version is closer to original release version but nowhere near as OP as that one was shaking your screen and flashbanging you.

Totally agree to what eldercitizen​ said = Seer is good with a coordinated team. Yet I would add that any legend is like at least 2x better in a coordinated team vs soloq stuff. Also most people in higher lobbies face Axles, Ashes, Valks, Seers etc. that feel OP not because they have kit but because they mask their cheats with those legends.

I have nothing against current Seer version at least makes him viable again not as Bloodhoud that I started with, almost mained but then never touched since season 9? because how useless and unreliable he is.

Every legend if played well should be annoying, that is the thing about them. And people should adjust not just play meta, 1v1. E.g. if you see X, Y and Gibby as meta, you probably should play Meggie or Fuse more to counter Gibby bubble / bubble res. And in ideal game there should be legends combinations that work really good vs some legends while struggling vs others that would not only force people to experiment but create more diverse lobbies.

Instead what I see for 10?+ seasons now in Apex:

1. casuals play "meta" because they think that will make them better despite e.g. having 0 clue how to play new legend or now how to jump back on Seer they have never touched before -> out of 20 teams 10-15 will have meta legends
2. cheaters playing mobile legends to run to next pray as fast as possible -> leading to Respawn devs think people are keen to play mobile legends :P so you see the shift back towards fast phased, more kill games, mechanics vs your say seasons 11? meta of Gibby, Caustic, Valk that actually favored map reading, early rotation and crazy but amazing end game fights

Just FYI my recent "mains" since season 27:

• Crypto - because I just felt like playing him, cloak was really nice and fun addition, also easy to gather stupid teammate banners and respawn them
• Fuse - I liked playing him before, suits my style of abusing mid / long range fights vs controller nubs, now with addition of knuckle-jumps even better, also was viable to run away from cheaters hunting you down before addition of Axle
• Newcastle - in duo/trio really powerful legend to create cover, able to cover open ground, easily push or defend via Ult
• Octane - because I just felt like running and gunning
• Bangalore - always enjoy playing her when I switch to NAE where 99% play controller, they just run from my smokes like bears from bear spray :D so funny
• Axle - super viable vs lower level cheaters, just dash behind them and they have not good enough mechanics to adjust fast enough, giving you fighting chance even if they use aimbot
• Valk - higher level lobbies because every game you will run from blunt cheaters given 75%+ games in my experience with video proof contain blunt aimbotting / titan team at D4+ level, especially D3+ lobbies, basically your only way to potentially relocate, lead those cheaters into another squad / full stack if you are not full

And with all of these I got easily to D4+ over past 3 seasons. Just to make the point that in lower ranked levels "meta" is just an illusion.

I got bored and decided to play with Seer in the Firing Range to better understand his kit.

Firstly, the slowing effect of his tactical needs to be removed.

Secondly, his perks are too OP. 

TIER 1

Lasting Beats briefly show enemies after they leave Ult. I disagree with this perk.

*Once a player has left, they shouldn't be penalized. He already has "heart seeker" as his passive. Maybe there should be a perk with a wider radius for his Ult instead.

*Home Base recharges his tactical every 4s, instead of every 14s, while in Ult. I totally disagree with this perk. 

*Maybe every 10s, bc this is nuts! He already has "heart seeker" as his passive. Seer and his team shouldn't have that much constant info, especially while slowing players and disabling their abilities. 

TIER 2

Energizing Focus regenerates shields when hitting your tactical. This perk is ok. 

*This perk should probably be Tier 1.

*Split Focus allows +1 tactical charge. I disagree with this perk. 

*This perk would be ok, for Tier 2, if the Home Base perk was nonexistent.

The Home Base perk combined with the Split Focus perk is crossing an unplayable red line. If Seer was currently my main legend I'm choosing these two perks to maximize his kit. I think these perks need to be reworked.

I like Seer as a legend, but his kit isn't in a good place for the overall health of the game, especially high tier gameplay. Currently, he's a must have for coordinated 3 stacks and now I know why. 🤷‍♂️

I predict that Seer will be the first Legend banned during EWC.

Combining Home Base with Energizing Focus is a lethal combo too. This makes Seer invincible and extremely hard to eliminate.

I don't know how much experience do you have as 3stack and what is your highest rank / competitive tournament experience.

But from what I read I see some discrepancies vs my experience 3stacking (total time probably around 2-3 months) and reaching D1 twice during 3stacking times:

• Up until Diamond 2 for past 10?+ seasons if you have a 3stack your only issue in the lobby are cheaters and your own greed (to much lesser extent), meaning with current skill distribution, free Diamond4 rank, matchmaking that now feeds low rank players even to Diamonds you really will be just fine with ANY legend up until like D2 level as even in Diamond4 time and time again 10 squads are dead before ring 2 closes. In 50% of the cases that is because cheaters running the lobby, other 50% is just people being dumb
• I have played Seer like 3 times for "extensive" period of time and I still can't figure out how his passive works. This version seem to pick up people even outside the range indicated on the minimap for example which is a feature or a bug?
  Stun / Slow effect is basically THE THING of this legend which was removed back in season 9? because for me as experienced player I don't really need his ULT as I can tell where enemies are thx to sound and game sense...it just makes it a bit easier in 3v3 and a lot messier in end zone where you have so much visual clutter that adding cage animation and tracking animation just makes the screen look like some Japanese arcade machine.
  In other words stun/slow should remain, silence...questionable
• Current possibility to recharge tactical - yeah, typical Respawn shenanigans of making OP legend...but people with experience already got used to this. Counter - be more aware where Seer is and kill him first, same logic as with spotting any support (especially lifeline)

As current P1/D4 player all I see with Seer is that again as predictable as Apex cheaters are, most wallhack user now opt playing Seer masking it with its passive. E.g. yesterday had a situation where enemy team's Seer with no beacons near by landed from balloon literary next to my ratting spot, already looking my direction, then briefly used his passive (pretending he actually spotted me with that not wallhack/radar) while already running my way.

Is Seer a problem...no not really, an annoyance - yes, but that is always the case with "new" legends. I still get beamed by Axles and Octanes with aimbot and 1 button turbo tap strafing more often than Seers.

Yet I understand that majority of player base are not smart enough to spot cheaters, lazy enough to not even bother and just complain about legends being OP 29 seasons into the game :) Just amazes me how many fools are in the community and for how long they are fooled by cheaters and boost of cheats vs boost of certain legends.

Nah bruh.... Seers a problem. 🤷‍♂️

My experience is irrelevant. Although, I've already stated in another post that I was P1. I've already played in lobbies with Preds, and maybe cheaters, this split. I just don't speak on matchmaking and cheater topics to much. There's enough posts and comments about those topics and I share the same sentiments. 

When I was in those lobbies my team was being run down by Seer teams every match. I was getting hit by so many Seer tacticals I thought it was two teams. Seer had me paralyzed, physically disabled, and mentally disabled before shooting a shot. That's my high tier ranked experience. 

I've been demoted to P2 and I'm giving Ranked a little break. Are you better than me? Probably so. Good for you 👍 

Made almost 700 RP today including me and random 2 people from discord land 2k damage each and ended up with 17 team kills.

All while playing Ash all day every game.

Only in one game had issues with Seer = combo ult + tactical perc... that stuff is insane in close range and last zones will give you that.

But otherwise got killed only by bluntly cheating (aimbotting and walling) Seers with G7s and charged Senti not missing shots :)

Meanwhile Seers on my team...under-performed so badly, especially ones using controller and bad sound - they couldn't even queue the enemies in right direction.

Also matchmaking was much easier today in P1+ even got full Diamond lobbies vs last 3 days, don't know why, but it was clearly much easier day today.

Ranked typically is hard to start the Split than eases up after some days.

Just won my first game back on, solo queuing. I don't see many Seers in Plat.
