I know there are other threads about this, I even posted in them, but I think it needs repeating as it's such a major issue. More and more people cottoning on to how OP the charge rifle is it is getting used more and more in game, and is now absoluting dominating almost every encounter. Every team has one, two or even three of the damn things.Outside of the super high fire rate and massive damage it does it is also very difficult to play against as the beam itself obscures your view of what you are trying to shoot at. If I start getting hit with one I don't even bother trying to return fire now... there's no point, I just run for nearest cover.C'mon Respawn, before this weapon ruins the game completely!! Either simply reduce it's damage output, OR (if you want to keep the potential for big damage) reduce the fire rate and make the beam time longer (so you have to keep it lined up for longer to get the full damage). And also maybe reduce size and brightness of the beam so players being shot at can still see target clearly!!This needs to be done fast as I think many players are really getting sick of it already.

@Professor_Doggy Agreed, although I think it needs to be either nerfed OR rarefied, if it's nerfed so it is a lot harder or takes a lot more skill to do good damage with then no reason cannot be common like the triple take - but in its current OP form it only belongs in care packages like the Kraber. It doesn't take a lot of skill to put out massive damage with the Charge rifle, can pretty easily take 200hp player down in two hits from huge range... sure that is also possible with the longbow and a hopped triple take, but the skill level it requires to do so is so much higher... with no travel time or drop to calculate it is so much easier. I like the idea of a hitscan weapon to mix up gameplay, but that gives it a massive advantage over all other weapons before you even get to the crazy damage.

And of course, straight away in the next game ran into a team with 3 golden shields and 3 charge rifles. Ridiculous..

@EA_Blueberry After playing 10+ hours of ranked matches this weekend on XBL, it does not feel like the nerf was enough to make the gun balanced. It is still a god-tier gun compared to every other weapon, including the kraber and mastiff.If it's going to be a common gun, it needs a major overhaul to make it balanced. I think most of us would prefer to see it become a care package golden gun though, from everyone i've talked to and read! Well, those that don't just want it removed outright...

This definitely needs a nerf and quick! It is so broken that it kills the game. I don’t even enjoy playing the game anymore because of this. WAY too powerful and easy to aim.

@chuckmynorris Yeah, it wasn't so bad in the first week of the Season as people hadn't realized how OP it was. But now as more people figure it out it is becoming unbearable.
This is the only thing since I started playing Apex six months ago that might actually push me to stop playing, which is a shame. I love Apex but this weapon has taken over and is just killing the fun.

@chuckmynorris Yeah... mind you I like fastheal, it is a * to play against but I wouldn't want it removed. It is frustrating when a whole team have golden shields though... maybe have a system where the healing speed boost you get is divided by the number of teammates who have one. So with one shield you get normal speed boost, with two shield you get 66% of speed boost, and with three you get 33%. In other words 1 shield = 50% speed increase, 2 you get a 33% speed increase, and 3 a 16% increase.

I agree to certain extent it should take more than one bullet to fire similar to triple take and delay fire rate to that of a bolt action rifle

I remember people using the charge rifle in multiplayer in Titanfall as a sniper rifle. For some reason that version of the gun took longer to charge up a full shot and was harder to aim. The rifle also emitted a huge glow so you could see it coming before the charge was complete. There was the quick shot option, where the rifle could fire quick bursts and never get to full charge shooting. It seems like the new rifle uses the quick charge time to deliver a full charge shot, but it's way easier to aim. I don't mind the gun being in the game but it needs to be nerfed and rarified ASAP.
