I remember people using the charge rifle in multiplayer in Titanfall as a sniper rifle. For some reason that version of the gun took longer to charge up a full shot and was harder to aim. The rifle also emitted a huge glow so you could see it coming before the charge was complete. There was the quick shot option, where the rifle could fire quick bursts and never get to full charge shooting. It seems like the new rifle uses the quick charge time to deliver a full charge shot, but it's way easier to aim. I don't mind the gun being in the game but it needs to be nerfed and rarified ASAP.
@Professor_Doggy Agreed, although I think it needs to be either nerfed OR rarefied, if it's nerfed so it is a lot harder or takes a lot more skill to do good damage with then no reason cannot be common like the triple take - but in its current OP form it only belongs in care packages like the Kraber. It doesn't take a lot of skill to put out massive damage with the Charge rifle, can pretty easily take 200hp player down in two hits from huge range... sure that is also possible with the longbow and a hopped triple take, but the skill level it requires to do so is so much higher... with no travel time or drop to calculate it is so much easier. I like the idea of a hitscan weapon to mix up gameplay, but that gives it a massive advantage over all other weapons before you even get to the crazy damage.
