we need another starter pistol option. why not an energy pistol?

@DreNH17 thanks. the current pistols just feel underwhelming. the mozambique is well balanced overall id say but its a shotgun, not a pistol.

@darkdragon1142 I had an idea for an energy pistol for one of my season concepts. Called it the shredder, and while formidable it was prone to overheating like the L-star unless you got the emergency coolant hop up.

@DK9027 not a bad example. but heres the thing im trying to keep it simplistic. anything that requires a hop up entails further development, and is subject to having the hop up removed. IE, skull piercer and the wingman.

i also want it to be unique otherwise theres no point in using it. lets say you shot a pistol that sprayed like the mozambique does. but uses energy. this would be the question why dont i just use the mozambique.

plus hop ups mean more money because then workers have to develop said item just to be used on another item. id rather it use an already existing hop up like the boost loader or something if anything.

plus if they made an energy pistol that overheats i worry 343 studios would get involved saying its a carbon copy energy pistol from halo. which does that already. you charge it, fire it and it overheats and has to cool before a full power shot can be used again.

@darkdragon1142 I feel like they kinda need to fix the RE-45 / P2020 first before introducing more underwhelming pistols to the game...

@Nabomeansturnip whats wrong with the 45? p2020 i get, but the 45 is strong.
