Why am I hitting lag/latency everytime I play crossplatform with my friends?

Hey there!

I haven't seen any widespread reports about this. Question for ya, have you tried any connection steps from your end to see if you could fix this? Just the general basic connection troubleshooting like power cycling the modem/router. Want to make sure we've ruled out the basics.

Do you know if your friends have moderate or STRICT NAT type showing on their consoles?

@RH0N3 Pretty sure the issue is just their servers as a lot of the time the more console players that are in a server, it tends to get laggy and you get hit through walls and such as console players are behind on tick rates or something like that and console players are more likely to deal more damage to you, even if you shot them first with the same gun point blank.

In short, its not your connection, and I honestly wish EA stopped blaming it or having players check it. Unless you're lagging out yourself *and* other online functions doesn't work (like any music, voice chatting apps, etc.), its not you, its their servers.

I can play Destiny 2, Sea of Theives, Minecraft, and loads of other games online, and when I lag in those games, I know 100% its my connection as Discord stops working, and my PC says there's no connection or that its slow. Yet, I get onto Apex with the same working internet and get a high ping and lag out every other match while players are able to shread me through cover and make no sounds moving.

Keep in mind, Apex runs on like 20hz, which means that data is sent in multiple small packets, Fortnite, Warzone, and other games use I think 60hz, which is why you don't see any players on those games complaining about lag - because they don't get much. They're also not sent to further servers to fill ques.
