Devs intended to nerf phaseEnded up buffing phaseWut jus happen

They explained it in the patch notes. Its now less effective as a "get out of of jail-card" which was a very popular way Wraith mains used it. Like pushing in, getting a knock on one enemy and than phasing out to safety to heal as the teammates goes in for a 2v2 with the remaining enemies. Now its more of a utility skill, to scout dangerous areas or move from cover to cover etc.

Name me one legitimate nerf that has actually negatively impacted her play style.I think you'll find she's never had one.

@S1mmOJ I feel the exact same way, this isn't really a nerf at all. If they wanted to nerf wraith they need to focus on her outrageously tiny hitbox.....

@S1mmOJ The main goal was to stop it from being a get out of jail free card. The increased activation time and the decreased speed you have while activating it makes it more like Loba teleport, and achieves this.If you need to reload, that’s just bad/good timing.

@S1mmOJ She didn’t really get out though.Most legends wouldn’t have survived being stuck in there, Wraith tried but didn’t succeed anyway.The ability is more like a Loba teleport. Is the Loba teleport broken because it’s an instant teleport? Not really.

@Sir_Named I get their intention but think the speed and duration extension just offset the penalty. They should have added delay and left it at that.

@S1mmOJ That’s fair. I think they wanted to offset it so that Wraith didn’t just get another patch full of nerfs.
They did nerf her ult as well, which was another reason why people picked her a lot.

The range nerf on the ultimate is good. But I'm yet to find a previous "patch full of nerfs".

@S1mmOJ Well, in the past they’ve only nerfed the cooldown, or decreased movement speed in ult, etc.
I don’t think they did them all at once, but they’ve never buffed Wraith.

I don't like what they did to wraith's void walk at all. It lasts a whole sec longer, but takes a sec and some literally to get into it, what's the point in being able to escape to the void if it takes a while 1.25 secs. a lot can happen in this time. i think that these guys are fidgeting with abilities too much. Wraith was never OP like others. the best thing that she had going for her was the void walk. To nerf that is literally the final straw. i'm done with apex. change it back guys bc my kids aren't allowed to play it anymore either now haha
