Not defending here. Respawn has reached the point of indefensibility.
But the gameplay and the cosmetics are the things they have control over. That's why they do what they do with them. They can't stop cheaters. They no longer have enough players for functional matchmaking, although even when they did it wasn't. One thing they could do is put an end to secondaries, but that's one thing they will never do. So what's left? Try to recoup revenue from the remaining players by charging ludicrous prices for nonsense. And make radical changes to gameplay in an attempt to appeal to the ten year olds in the population. This is what it's all come to. This is how it ends. Not with a bang...
Yeah, time to start looking for the next game. Problem is, they all **bleep** now. There hasn't been a good shooter since Reach. Honestly, I tried Fortnite once for about five minutes. Just no. Maybe it's time to take up reading.
