The server you're pinging in Dallas different than the Apex Servers in Dallas.
This means different ISP's and different routes, so it's likely that the Apex Servers are "further" away than the online ping tests you're using.
The packet size compared between a ping test and a game is also a big big difference.
Depending on the network structure, these packets for Apex might be fragmented, which could mean that it could take longer to process said packets.
Then of course there's also the fact that ping test sites don't get used as much compared to game servers traffic-wise. (Of course these are scaled appropriately, but with increased packet sizes, fragmented packets & more traffic, could also make it longer for your packets to be processed)
For such a distance, I don't think 100ms is that bad, but then again, I don't know much about how the networking in the US is structured.
Though from what I've seen from other players, it does seem pretty normal.
But the real question is: "Have you had better ping before, or has it always been like this?"
Because of course, if you used to have lower ping on Apex, there might be something you could do.
