100,000 XP for 1 BP level is way too much

10,000 XP = 1 star

10 stars = 1 BP level

thats near enough double the worst case scenario we have at the moment with the cap of 54,000 XP = 1 BP level already being ridiculously Grinding.
I was expecting it to be around:

1 star = 2500 XP

10 stars = 25,000 XP = 1 BP level

This finds a balance between the start of the week being slightly slower to level up the battle pass because you no longer get the easy 9,000 and 18,000 XP challenges but also makes the end of the week slightly faster since atm it becomes really Grindy to get 1 level once you hit the 54,000 XP challenge. 100,000 XP is just greedy and makes the new system more grindy than it already is. It’s Great that you put more XP into challenges but I don’t want to play Bangalore and deal damage with her ult to actually make a dent into earning 1 level. I want to play the legends I want to play and earn my battle pass from actually PLAYING THE GAME.

Change the XP requirements before the new season goes live. It’s ludicrous.

  • Agree, they screwed it up this one. I won't buy BP with this painfull grind.

We don't mind the new star system, but it should take similiar effort/time with the previous system.

Somebody in dev can't do the math right ! ☹️

  • This is all going to depend on how the challenges play out.  It looks to me like they are rewarding more for the challenges than before.  So the balance of that and the XP may end up faster than before.

  • @ArchAngeL-PCXBut as I said. Finishing the battle pass shouldn’t be dependant on completing gimmicky challenges. I want to play the legends I want and just earn the battle pass. What they’re telling me is ‘NO, u have to jump through our arbitrary hoops now to earn your battle pass or grind 100,000 XP’

and again, all this does is make it harder and harder to take time away from the game. Its becoming more required to play everyday by putting all the XP into challenges. It’s becoming harder to jump in half way through a season and complete a battle pass because ‘Sorry you missed the first 6 weeks of challenges  so the only way to earn your levels is to grind 100,000k and hope the remaining 6 weeks of challenges will be enough’

NO. Im sorry but NO. My time should be what’s valued here, not how many hoops I can jump through to do these frankly dumb challenges. Playing 12 games as ‘insert legend name here’ isn’t challenging its tedious and boring when you don’t want to play those legends. Same thing with kills with certain weapons. Again it’s not a challenge, it’s a way to force you to do something you don’t want to do. Rather than trying to make people do things they don’t want to, maybe they should try rewarding people for their time and effort learning and playing the legends they want the way they want.

Tldr: All putting more of the battle pass progression behind Challenges does it show they don’t value our TIME and DEDICATION to playing this game but more how many hoops we can jump through

@RockScorpion384 Challenges are imo the easiest way to get the current pass. I could play 3 days a week and get 10-15 BP levels thanks to challenges. I rarely would grind the 54K BP levels, and I was on pace to finish the pass well before season 6 finished. I only stopped short because I got all I wanted out of it.

The one thing I can think of is that this might cause players like myself to have to play more days per week to get the same number of levels. But again, I havent seen the impact of daily challenges yet. So that's just a guess.
  • @ArchAngeL-PCX Challenges are the easiest way. Agreed. But they are finite. That’s the issue. I started the season 6 battle pass 3 weeks ago because I wasn’t able to play up until that point. Playing non stop I’m currently on 53, with no hope of getting to 100. Challenges simultaneously made it possible to get this high this fast but are also the reason I won’t be getting 100. They bottleneck your XP gains. They are finite there are only so many before it results to just grinding XP. And with the new season that grind just got 2x harder. As I said if you miss a week that’s going to be WAY more punishing next season. Heck, missing 1 day will be way more punishing. They need to take pressure off the challenges and put the progression into actually playing the game. Because I am level 53 and it doesn’t matter how much I play I won’t get 100 because the grind is that bad, with it only getting worse

@ArchAngeL-PCX What's the point of these challenge?
like u get budget when u start in game, this isn't challenge.
and challenge must be optimal not required in RNG game.
  • @xMaxrayx Yesss. This person gets it. Challenges should speed up the battle pass progression not be the main way to level up. With the new grind it’s literally do the challenges or don’t get to the end which shouldn’t be the case

@RockScorpion384 53 levels in 3 weeks is a really good clip though. That's a little better than what I was doing overall without even grinding the 54K BP levels. You would have finished the pass in 6 or 7 weeks.
  • @xMaxrayx Its just something to do to progress on the BP. Most games have them. Some call them challenges, others call them tasks. It's all the same.
