@EryxApex
You think I think the matchmaking is setting me up for a loss?
I don’t actually.
What I believe in, is that the experience of players who are average or above average matter. As it stands right now, there are players who are silver-level (regarding skill) who win at the same rate or more than master level players.
I’m just sour that I can LITERALLY go 140 games of playing the best console players in the world And STILL be thrown into the same PUBLIC lobbies with them. LOL— shouldn’t the SBMM derank me into easier lobbies?- 5 years ago@Axs5626Sxa5001 No, it's setting you up for a (in theory) fair fight. I'd say you probably perform better than the lower perfoming Master rank/lowest performing Predator rank players, and therefore get tossed into matches with said players.

You call it fair— I call it miserable.
I think the common misconception is that high skilled players want to run through lobbies and stomp. I assure you I don’t want that.
I want variance and I want choice. I don’t want every match to be as sweaty as possible— I want my ranked games to play like this. If I am a master-level player, I want to be performing better (overall, regarding win and kill ratios in ranked AND pubs) than players who are gold level regarding skill. As it stands right now, my buddy who can’t break into plat has a higher KD and win loss ratio than I do. He enjoys his pubs and I lose the high majority of mine. He is playing regular people and I am constantly playing iTemp or iStayGoated or SoarKobi—- I am clearly not better than these players but I am always in their lobby.
What’s worse? A lower skilled player occasionally running into these guys? Or me ALWAYS running into these guys?
And trust me, I have done plenty of research on the SBMM algorithm across various accounts. Players are typically dropped into lower lobbies after 40 losses. Something has changed over the last month regarding the algorithms aggressiveness and it’s hurting players who are above average.
But screw us right? We’re the minority so who cares. Matchmaking should be prioritized around maximizing The lower skilled players’ experience and making the most amount of money possible.

the sbmm is actually built for you to lose, to increase play time. It gives you worse teammates and better enemies.

actually when he and i get matched with (noobs) as you called them against premade pred squad then yes we get set up for a loss
"united we stand divided we fall" isn't that engraved on the G7 ?
I've seen countless of predators get matched with randoms and get killed on drop and leave the match .
how to adapt when you get matched with a player who hesitate and think if he should revive you or no , or stand still watching while you are pulling a 1v2 thinking what he should do or with someone who spend 5 minutes looting the same area and still doing so after you ping to move to another location too many times and even talk over the mic but with no response .
how to adapt when you get matched against a squad who one of their players have more kills than your full squad and your squad have one player who get confused by friendly caustic gas thinking it's the enemy's gas .
adaption is never an issue and it's easy fix , give us solos then match me with the god of Apex i don't care , then i will be able to adapt because there will be no factors that i can not control and it will on me only.
i will not be losing a match because me alone killed two squad members but my both mates couldn't kill only one after i got knocked- 5 years ago
Meh....do we need strict sbmm in pubs if we have ranked though?
I wouldn't say remove it completely for obvious reasons, but it certainly needs relaxing a little.
There really should be a clear difference in difficulty between pubs and ranked.
Take LTM's for example...the skill range in these lobbies generally seems much wider than other modes.
