This was the message he received. He doesn’t cheat, he literally plays with just me. It’s * that people who are just good at the game are getting banned. @Bowi_QC
@MikeHawkYo I wouldn’t be surprises that EA sent a pre-written reply to your friend.
EA seems to deal with abusive language and cheating together, meaning they probably send those type of emails to people who used abusive language or who bullied a player in some way…
Do you think your friend might have been a little bit bully toward another player? This could be why he got banned.
Is it temporary or permanent?
You should double check to see whether it is temporary or permanent... You could ask them which line from the Rules of Conduct he allegedly broke. (See rules here: https://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/en/PC/#section6)

@Bowi_QC @It’s a permanent ban, and they gave no evidence nor any reasoning beyond saying “you were cheating” and provided no evidence. It’s actual bull crap. I get that it’s their game and they can ban whoever they want, but it’s a bad look when you just start permabanning people based solely on the fact that someone reported them.

I don't think this is the place to debate about bans.
he was not banned without any reason, they take cheating and bug abuse very serious.
Why is there no proof ? Because this could provide information how they decide that a player is cheating.
3rd party programs can avoid cheat detection with that kind of information. so there you have a answer for that.
If he thinks the ban is given to him by mistake he can appeal this ban by going to here.
Fill out the form with the required details.
Make sure the Subject line is in the following format
[banned account] — [Apex Legends] — [Your in-game user name].
Your user name is your EA ID (on PC), PSN Online ID (on PS4), Xbox Live gamertag (on Xbox).
Use the Email address associated with your banned EA account only.
Provide detailed info to EA about why your account was banned for no reason.
So no reason to be mad and all, he has a chance to get his account back.
The appeals takes around 1 to 5 days.

@Zeelmaekers As I’ve already pointed out in an earlier post, he did submit a repeal, and he hasn’t gotten any word back yet. And I don’t really care how serious they take cheating, banning people who don’t exploit bugs or cheat is just idiotic regardless so I’m fairly certain I’ve got a decent reason to be upset here. But whatever.
