A Random Just Said, "You Shouldn't Fight Them Their, Preds".

To all the casuals who play this game. A rank or badge doesn't mean anything on how good someone can be in an online shooter. They could have done something in the past to gain an award, but how good they do depends on how bad you do.

    @Sir_Named
    O, no this wasn't in ranked in my game. A random in a public match said don't fight them because their preds. I said preds or ranks don't mean anything (he was dead, i was alive). I seem to upset this person saying this. They sounded like a casual.

    I can understand why people would say don't fight in a ranked to save their points for a higher slot, but in a public match everyone i see is a target. I don't care if i watch someone kill 15 people right next to me, i'll shoot anything.

  • @Popa2caps Well then, it's just up to you. Some people might want to be careful, others may want to just pop off.
  • @Sir_Named  Honestly, even in ranked being overly careful for the sake of ranked points is just counter intuitive. You can hide and camp your way up the ranks but you'll eventually find yourself at a stage where;

    A) That doesn't give you enough points to actually progress.

    B) you'll just get melted in 90% of gunfights, as you've camped way past your skill threshold.

    This is why platinum is such a cluster foxtrot. It's better to just give it your all in ranked every match,if you can't progress further, work on your skills and have another crack at it.

    Fortune favours the brave and all that. 😉

    @MandatoryIDtag agreed, plat 4 teammembers are a nightmare, 80% of them just sat afk in a corner in gold, got promoted, and suddenly they're hardstuck on 4800 RP. worst thing, even in diamond 4 you will still get matched with mostly p4.
  • @Popa2caps And then everybody clapped. In ranked, If you’re gold and like really new and bad and don’t wanna get called bots on imperialhals stream after he 1v3’s you, consider running lol. Pred rank absolutely means ur gonna get dumpstered
  • @Popa2caps That's almost the same thing I say when I see a predator/master. If I see a predator/master champion, I always type 'GG' in the chat lol.

    'To all the casuals who play this game'- That sounds vaguely condescending.

    'A rank or badge doesn't mean anything'- Except it does.

    'They could have done something in the past to gain an award'- True in very few cases.

  • If it's a full team of Preds that's all alive and healed? Then yeah, if you're not confident with your skill/the team you have then it's not worth the risk, especially cause that team has probably player together all the way to Predator so they'll have their synergy and tactics down to a T.

    If it's one solo queued Predator with average teammates, or if the team is weak or in a bad position, then go for it like any other squad. They're just players like everyone else and can only do so much against a semi coordinated team that can get the advantage over them. Just don't blame me when the last Pred manages to 1 v 3 your entire team :P

    In reply to myself, that isn’t saying they don’t deserve to be that good, cause they do they put in the work, but to say it’s all in your head that you’re gonna magically destroy some preds is some mumbo jumbo. This game has so many techs and a high skill ceiling (it’s why I love it) that I love being killed by a pred just to watch how they play , but it is insane that a gold or plat in ranked has to fight preds every game when that’s exactly how pubs are
