Aftermarket event and cross-play discussion thread

@EA_David So if I buy the bundles containing the new Revenant and Octane skins; I would now own 2 of the event items right? So would that mean that I would essentially need to buy 2 less event packs? Meaning that out of the 24, 2 packs will return the apex coins I spent?

@BaldWraithSimp dang that's great. So all in all, by buying both bundles you would be eventually spending 1000 coins less than buying the 24 packs straight up. 🙂

@BaldWraithSimp LMAOOOO. Luckily I've got 850 coins so I'll have to pay like 140 (which is still a lot). I don't even play caustic that much but this event's skins are LIT and the heirloom is pretty badass tbh. 

@hayhor:  I've played cross platform before.  It just doesn't ever work out.  And for all the complaints PC people have about controllers, I can vouch for that it is a demented complaint that specifically has to do with PC not controller people fighting PC controller people.

There is not one circumstance of console people ever being on the same controller level of PC players. A m&k on a console doesn't even work the same way, simply emulating the same delay controllers have.  A console player will never ever not one time ever be on the same playing field level with a PC player, not even close, no matter what kind of controller is being used by either player.

All cross platforming does is let friends play with other friends.  That's noble, I think it's dumb that we all live in a world where we have to pick which console we have then determine which friends we play with.

Having said that, any FPS is restricted in quality to the platform you are playing it on.  And cross platforms simply do not work at any level in fairness of game.

I'd happily play a turn based strategy game cross platform.  Any game where your controller didn't matter.

Well, I don't believe one console will necessarily have an advantage, but I really doubt I'll get to pick which consoles I play with.

XBox and PS4 are comparable.  Someone using Nintendo...not.  Anyway, sure...let me know if there is a console only cross platform with no PC's involved...I'd be amazed.

By the way, I don't really see the need for cross platforming.  It hasn't made something like Fortnite stupidly immensely more popular.  I think it is a lot of work for a negligible result.  There's a lot I don't mind either that Respawn does even though I think it won't improve their game.  But Cross platform play will actually hurt it.

The one piece of good news here is that I'm going to get an option to not cross platform play, which means I'm going to keep playing.  I'd drop this game...because of other reasons too...if it was cross platform only.  Apex needs a lot of improvements, and right now, nothing that sets it back.
