@all I can confirm that @gg123xyz ‘s solution does not work. I do believe that they just experienced the buggy-ness of AA turning on and off at random. I tried it in the firing range, and AA was still turning on and off randomly for me. Also had some whiffed punches that looked like they should have hit which means that the punching mechanic that makes meele on pc and console better is broken on console at least.
will add clip here: https://streamable.com/do3aitclip expires in two days, but I can re-upload if necessary.
i left the game again and went back into the firing range and the second time i did this there was no aim assist so i backed out of the firing range went to xbox series s video settings in apex legends and reset apex legends video settings to default it was already default i went back into firing range and my aim assist was back.
this is on 1080p resolution. so every game you have to reset the video settings to default to get aim assist it looks like.
set the video resolution to either 1080p which is my tv native resolution or your tv native resolution and then reset the video settings in apex legends to default then go into the firing range and strafe with the gun there should be aim assist from the front of the dummy. 10 feet or so in front of the dummy. if not then it works for me is all i can say. but i have to keep resetting the video settings in apex legends every time it seems for it to work and this is in the lobby then in the firing range theres aim assist and in the game.

@gg123xyzWe are onto something here, there is something related to the video output, but its also not consistent, sometimes i get AA on the back of the enemy but not on the front of him.

Please actually fix the bug, and not just the firing range 😂
it works on the xbox series s to reset the video tab every time i go into the lobby, and i have the xbox resolution set to 1080p my tv native resolution, you might need to try your tv native resolution if 1080p doesnt work for you.
but in pc i found its not reproducible unless i first open apex legends, then go to nvidia control panel and set manage 3d to default then click apply, then turn off vsync then click apply, then open up apex legends and try the aim assist in the firing range its back on, then it goes away after i play 1 or 2 games when i test aim assist in the firing range after every game,
so when the aim assist goes off in the pc, i have to minimize apex legends while in the lobby, go back to nvidia control panel manage 3d, then set to default then click apply, then turn off vsync and click apply, and then in apex legends i get back my aim assist for a few games then it goes back off again. then i repeat going into the nvidia control panel while in the apex legends lobby.
idk how to turn off vsync in the xbox series s though, and on pc i have to redo these steps to get my aim assist again every game or two when i test the aim assist in the firing range after the game.
on pc sometimes i have to repeat going into the apex legends lobby the into nvidia control panel manage 3d, resetting to default clicking apply, the vsync off the click apply then in firing range getting my aim assist back. idk why sometimes i have to repeat the process but there you go.
So the’re news about it? I keep having the same aa problem
- RXYRP3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@RobyAzrael They stated that its happening in firerange only and they are investigating the issue, while most of players are also facing the AA problem in regular games.
