Agreed, cheating is as bad as ever. Hopefully, Javelin will improve, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just left pubs and it remains infected with cheating scum. Going to Steam to purchase another game.

If you can find a multiplayer game that isn't a sewer of cheating and smurfs then I'd like to know what that title is.

There aren't any, that's why I'm playing an adult, empire building game where the only Ahole preventing me from succeeding is myself.  

I left apex 2 months ago, just came back to the forums out of morbid curiosity and I'm glad I pulled the plug. Worst cheaters I've ever seen in gaming, its not worth it to play anymore when you're the only one not using some kind of cheat to play for you

That made me laugh. I've been in self-imposed exile in Bot Royale for a couple of seasons now, but sadly even there the experience is polluted by the presence of live teammates. Either they're helpless and you feel bad for not holding their hand, or they vacuum up every single enemy on the map and two thirds of the way through the match you're asking yourself, "Why am I here?"

I keep trying to find a single player game that isn't owned by EA or Microsoft - the idiot twins of the gaming industry - but nothing's landed with me yet. I tried Marathon. Oh, how I tried Marathon. I just do not understand how developers think that players want games that hate them. I don't. Hence no more Marathon.

(Come to think of it, calling EA and Microsoft the idiot twins is being really hard on EA. I don't regret saying it, but Microsoft is far, far worse. What kind of world are we living in where there could even exist a worse company than EA, much less one that is hugely worse?)
