@DarthValtrex Apex doesn’t support 120 fps on console yet right?

- 5 years ago@maximas1986 You can, with Series S/X put output to 120 fps, but if your tv or game doesn’t support it, nothing should happen unless the game, even if it’s not optimized, is uncapped and can reach the 120, if your tv or minitor allows for that framerate of course.
Darth is always keeping secrets!- 5 years ago@Koochi-Q But that will be just fake FPS due to the Gsync I believe, so wouldn't that cause ghosting as the console will generate repeated frames to fill the gaps becuase you asked for 120 but the game is giving only 60
- 5 years ago@maximas1986 Either I’m confusing something or we’re talking about 2 different things.
Lets say Apex had uncapped framerate on all platforms (it doesn’t on console), and Darth had a 120Hz tv and the new Series S/X. Then it wouldn’t matter if the game was optimized for 120 fps as the console, his tv and the game would allow 120 frames to be reached if the settings were right.
If he doesn’t have a 120Hz tv, he wont experience 120 fps on the visual end cause his tv doesn’t support it.
If he doesn’t have the series S/X but plain old OG Xbox One, he wont have 120 fps cause his console doesn’t support it.
The game doesn’t feature uncapped frames, so no matter what hardware, he doesn’t get ‘true’ 120 fps.
I only know a lil about Gsync and freesync but they only operate at higher output if all the above mentioned things support it right?
