Apex gone downhill
Is it just me or has this game really gone downhill? It seems every other match I am CONSTANTLY getting toxic teammates. More often than not it's the solo launcher who lands somewhere else, dies, a...
apex is dying.
unfortunately, apex is on the decline. it's a shame that respawn keeps making the wrong decisions, setting the wrong focus and the game is slowly dying.
this season has really accelerated the whole thing.
it's nice that respawn thinks they can push the game for another 10 years, but i don't believe it. it's currently losing so many players and the cheater problem is getting worse and worse. no improvement in sight. constant server problems. and the ridiculous matchmaking and ranking system is the joke of the century. i've been playing from day 1 and have more than 8000 hours of playtime, i loved the game, but it's coming to an end. playing alone is hardly possible as i am put into lobbies that usually far exceed my skill and only in a group is there any fun. it is almost unbearable. i play less and less and the sessions are getting shorter and shorter. my plan after my BP is at 110 is to leave the game for now and if i find fun elsewhere maybe not come back. too bad respawn but you just don't have it in you to make such a great game a good gaming experience for everyone.
There is a lot of cheating these days. I mean, you can see people not being good, but having triple the number of kills of the next best player half way though more than a few mix tape games.
I really wasn't personally experiencing much cheating up until now (having dropped playing this barely into last season), but really, how do you not control this problem at this level?
There are other games that do not completely eliminate the issue of cheaters, but have it much better under control, such as Respawn's approach in Apex Legends. In other games, hackers can manipulate algorithms to disrupt matches, causing delays in gameplay. It's disheartening to see cheaters participating in Apex Legends' competitive matches, and there are numerous videos online documenting these incidents. This is an incredibly embarrassing situation for Respawn. However, it raises questions when I play a trio match and find the champion squad comprised of predator-ranked players, while I myself only have a KD (Kill/Death ratio) of 1, which unfortunately happens frequently. I have never been anywhere near as skilled as the justification for encountering master-ranked players in nearly every match suggests.
Prior to this season, which is already out of the question, I had never achieved a higher rank than Diamond 3. Yet, I find myself being obliterated by players with flawless aimbot capabilities. I witness it happening and shortly after, I am also taken down by another player using an aimbot. It has been a long time since I experienced such occurrences live in Apex Legends, but unfortunately, it seems to be on the rise again. This begs the question: Where is the promised upgrade for the anti-cheat system?
