Apex Legends Damage

I've been having a lot of trouble trying to deal damage in Apex lately. For example, this last game I played I dropped in and immediately picked up a flatline and another guy pick up a bow. I unloaded a full mag dead on and began reloading when he hit me with 2 arrows and downed me. I get placement and weapon mods matter but this happens in almost every game. Even when I pick up a sentinel it takes 4 or 5 shots to down people, but 2 shots from a shotgun will almost always kill me. What am I doing wrong?

  • @joe434343434343 I think your problem is the same problem I had until recently. I think that you are shoot ing at where people are instead of where they will be. You need to be able to predict movements, a know the size of every hitbox as a reflex. You need to know if you can shoot the edge of someone peeking, or if that will only give away your position. These things can’t be learned from videos and articles, only playing the game, and studying your opponents. I would recommend playing a legend with horrible abilities, to hone your skill. My two recommendations are caustic and crypto, you can’t rely on their abilities, which forces you to master movement, gun skill and positioning. I would personally recommend caustic, as he has a very big hitbox, so it teaches you how and where to seek cover. I cannot tell you how to do these things, it can only be learned from gameplay and knowing your lobbies. I hope I have been able to help, best wishes and happy gaming!

What I'm taking up out of this is that you pick up weapons which are notoriously difficult to aim (flatline, sentinel) and wonder why people with shotguns (easy to aim as long as the target is close) are dropping you. The weapons in this game are rock, scissors, paper. You've just had a long run of paper to everyone else's scissors. Luck eventually changes, but you can certainly help it along by not favoring the most difficult guns in the game.
