@1ronKeysYeah I dunno what is happening in those moments. Desyncing can definately happen. For anyone this is happening to I'd give this advice: Turn performance display on, record the moments this happens and report them under the bug report section with video.
There must be a hell of a lot of frustrated Apex players if that's all it is lol.1ronkeys I pretty much agree with your comments regarding the perceived damage you can inflict on an enemy pales in comparison to what an enemy can inflict with little to no effort as I too have faced the same experience on many occasion. I've encountered plenty of scenarios where I've been downed in a split second by 2-3 shots of an AR by my count but when reading through the stats it would show well over 15-20 shots.Cheating is rife in the game every Tom,* & Harry knows that but aside from that the game is buckling at the seams with bugs & various performance issues largely because it's still operating on the Unreal 4 engine,an engine well over 10+ years old when many other games have moved on to the Unreal 5 engine. Also Apex is still run on low tick 20hz servers which is responsible for the input lag & hit box issues which is prevalent in the game, I can only speak as a console player on both the PS5 & XBOX Series X & the game just feels like a laggy mess with frame rate issues regardless of playing either on 60hz or 120hz.
And is EA laying off all those play testers actually going to improve gameplay in Apex going forward in all honesty absolutely not.

Been playing since beta, off an on I found this was always an issue. However, this season it happens far more frequently. Putting whole clips into enemies backs which in previous seasons would have boxed them quickly... now they are absorbing all my shots then doing a quick 180 and finishing me in never and I mean never more than 4 bullets. Usually 2 or 3.
Even in the firing range which I use religiously... most guns are always acting different almost each time I go into it and practice and warmup before a match. The consistency of the weapons, how they hit waivers from session to session.
Not sure what's going on... but sure doesn't feel right, or the same .

The game is pretty much unplayable past a certain time for me.
People aren't taking the correct amount of damage. Push me from a horrible position, I beam them, they have weaker shields, and they just eat it. Meanwhile, I'm getting instantly killed most engagements, and getting shot around corners. There is a HUGE amount, unacceptable amount, of desync.
Sucks the fun out of the game.

So glad (But not) that other people are sharing my experience here.
Maybe some of the naysayers of my posts and displeasure can slow their role a bit.
Very cheeky when given responses like "take a break".
Or when game companies take a "it's you not us" approach to bugs and issues; really really drops people's view and opinion of a company drastically in an instance.

I am having the exact same issues and I wanted to bring up that this isn't just 3 or 4 sore losers that got a little salty and need to take a break now and then. Between the livestream community and my former club and friends list I have seen people leaving this game in droves all over season 20 issues. I have about 3 pages full of apex friends in the game and only about 5 are still left, they were ALL still there, but could no longer play the game after season 20, most told me they were going to fortnite or other fps games.
Also, while cheating is a huge part of the problem, it is obvious the overall feel of the game is different with season 20. From the slower movement, new gun sounds, the recoil even feels different on the guns, and the damage problems are not just with players. I could previously one clip any dummy with any gun on the firing range, now with some guns it takes 3 clips, some 2, and the damage for all guns is noticeably lower.
Nerfing the game isn't always bad as long as it is nerfed for everyone, but I feel these nerfs have given cheaters a larger advantage since now non cheaters have fewer ways to fight back.
People have tried to tell me the game still has the same feel and is the same, but I know it isn't true because way too many others have noticed it just like I have. I still like the game and I hope next season they make it more like season 19. Maybe keep the new armor system and upgrades, but set the rest of the game back to the way it was before with faster movement and the old way the guns were with higher damage and easier to control recoil.
