@Defox11 wrote:It's just an inadequately long TTK in the game. You literally need a couple of shops to destroy the enemy, because ADAD spam and it is physically impossible to hit the enemy with all the bullets even with a very good aim. We add here also ballistics with a rather slow flight of the bullet, which adds randomness when hitting opponents, because again ADAD spam. And even though you successfully punched the enemy from the first clip, say at 140 hp, he can use the escape ability or go behind cover and while you are pushing him he has already managed to heal.
In this game, it is simply impossible to kill players based on accuracy, reaction. The game does not allow you to just take and kill the player, it wants all shooting to turn into an exchange of damage and healing resources. It does not allow you to make a clutch 1 versus 2 and even more against versus 3, because the TTK is too long, while you take a couple of seconds to disassemble the enemy, your clip will run out and you will have to change to another weapon, and this time and by this time you will already be dead.
This is some kind of MMORPG, not a shooter. Just a complete disappointment. I just don’t understand how you can win shootouts in this game, I don’t understand how to guarantee to kill players here. You just end the game with 1-2k damage and at best 1-2 kills and often zero. It's so stupid. With the same success I can go shoot at targets in the shooting range.
Any tips, hints, I just want to do more kills, I don't want to play a hit and damage simulator.
So your complaining, because Apex Legends have different mechanics, than the shooter you are used to, and require a way greater amount of skill to be successful.
While there is a tons of things that are actually wrong, the TTK of the game is perfect(tho some weapon are completely broken like the Mastiff) and you actually need to show your better than your opponent when your fighting.
In low TTK games like CS:GO and Valorant luck is a big factor, and in a lot of times lower skilled player can and will kill the higher skilled player, due to multiple factors, aka hitting the first shot, because he is rating on some place or just pop a better reaction in the certain situation.
In Apex you need a superior aim in order to win a fight(lets say with similar/equal weapons).
Longer TTK always require more skill to win a fight.
In what i agree with you, is the fast heals(that shouldn`t exist and bring imbalance), auto-revive b.c. mechanics, Gibraltar faster revive and so on.
But this is a battle royal, so its normal to have heals/items and to be able to run from a fight.
If the game has a low TTK, very few people will enjoy it and play it. In CS:GO you are respawned straight away in a deathmatch, and you don`t need to wait much in a 1v1, 2vs2 and 5vs5 to get respawned.
Why would i play Apex Legends if i die in 1-2 seconds? I got to wait so much for loading screens, when i die and waiting on my teammates to either get banner, respawn and so on.
Warzone for example have lower TTK and this is the sole reason i don`t like this game.
High TTK games actually shows your true level, aka how good your aim and movement really are. In Apex Legends in order to kill a player, you need not only to click once at his head, but to actually track him and to be able to keep the recoil and to stay on the target to kill him.
Luck factor based on fight(not gear) is taken out of the consideration.
And you are talking about ADAD spam and how hard is to hit an enemy then your aim is just bad.
As far as 20-30 kills on CS:GO, Valorant, a lot of low skilled players can do that, exactly because of the low TTK. :D
- 5 years ago@LordloshBang wingman has faster ttk :P
after 1k in apex r99 and wingman is the beast gun because ADS and TTK speed other guns are trash.
u can take mastiff but u can't use it every situation. - 5 years ago@LordloshBang Bad explanation for the TTK and skill relation. In a game like CS/Valorant, the low TTK doesn't mean it's easy or there is a 'LUCK' involved. They have more emphasis on reaction time, crosshair placement, flicking while Apex emphasizes more on tracking/movement. I get 20 kills in Valorant, but only in silver lobbies lol. If there is a platinum guy on the enemy team, I stand no chance. Sure I can kill him once or twice, but most of the time I will get rekt. There is no luck involved. Both games just require different types of skill mastering.

In games like Apex Legends with high TTK and such movement, you actually needs way more skills and need to be consistent with this type of skills.
In CS:GO and Valorant(i don`t play Valorant) buts it has low TTK and its like a CS:GO with abilities. In this games you barely need good tracking. If you surprise your opponent or you pop a better reaction and its over, because of the low TTK.
Also you can get kill from a completely potate guy with an AWP, even if you are 100x better player than him. And with any weapon actually.
I got so many games where i lost control of the recoil, but still headshot the hell out of it, because i just need 1 shot and its over.
In high TTK game, you do this, aka lose control of your recoil, and you will miss 90-95% of your shots, and your basically *****.
High TTK games mean you still need all the skills you need in low TTK + on top of that, you need to be more consistent and to be able to keep on your target for the whole mag and even draw a secondary weapon and be able to finish him.
You can`t compare this to 1 shot in CS:GO or Valorant.
Pure example if i 1v1 against S1mple for example for 1 hour i for 10000% sure will kill him a couple of times(maybe even more), but if i`m a similar level in Apex Legends(to my CS:GO skill) i won`t be able to get a kill against lets said ImperialHal.
Let me quote VALORANTPRO
"High TTK (Time to Kill) is about the duels, like in Apex, Overwatch and Paladins. Low TTK on the other hand requires good map knowledge and positioning in order to succeed."
But lets be real in HIGH TTK games you still need good map knowledge and positioning ....
One more thing which is very important, if your aim is kinda okay, you will be doing great in CS:GO if you got a good reaction, but that won`t be the case in Apex, because you will be bad in tracking, keeping on the target and so on.
Apex Legends is way more harder, and skill level is way up, because of the movement level, which is way harder, and the same for the aim. And i`m talking straight about mechanical skill, and taking away game sense skills.
You are talking about flicks, but in Apex Legends you also need a good flick for snipers, Wingman and shootguns.
Just a quick compare how much harder Apex is compare to CS:GO. With Wingman you need to land multiple shot on a way faster moving target, unlike in CS:GO where you don`t have that speed when moving, jumping, crouching and so on(you don`t have slide and so on as well) in order to down a target, yet in CS:GO you need 1 headshot with the deagle and its over.
I compare the two, because they are similar.
If i got to say the most important skill in CS:GO i would say: Reaction time, crosshair placement, peaking, map knowledge and positioning and of course to have a good mouse control.
But building a good CS:GO aim is way easier compare to building a good Apex Legends aim or for higher TTK.
Let see the skill in Apex Legends for example, and i won`t even talking about looting, abilities, decision making while playing(you got this in CS:GO, but in Apex you got so much room and freedom for that).
Tracking, flicking(micro flicking on Wingman which is probably the hardest), movement(way higher skill require compare to counter-strafing in CS:GO), tracking, peaking, reaction, map knowledge, positioning(way more important than CS:GO for example).
Also in CS:GO map is how to say it, let said fixed and the places where enemy can come are easy to see and you can easy place your crosshair in there and wait, this is literally impossible on Apex Legends, because of how big the map is, and that there is nothing "fixed" in there and you can literally peak and come from every spot on the map, not like the fixed objectives in CS:GO.
In few words in HIGH TTK games you need the same skill + tracking + to be consistent in the whole mag range + secondary weapon.
P.P. I forget prefire, it has higher effect in low-ttk games, but still its needed in higher ttk game as well.

It's pointless even comparing the two lol.
They're different entities entirely. High TTK presents just as many challenges as low TTK, they just manifest differently.
If we're being perfectly honest the TTK in apex really isn't the crux of the issue,it's everything else.
Bad audio, stale weapon metas, bizarre nerds
( I meant nerfs...but yeah bizarre nerds too) and buffs across the board, and janky servers.
I wont even get started on the PC cheating issues and the scrubs using strike pack macro's/ DDoS'ing on PS4.
These are real issues.

@LordloshBang, well, apparently my aim specifically in apex really s**t. I only play at 60 fps, and even at a lower resolution (the goal is 60 fps in the settings), because of which the picture sometimes drops to 1280x720. It is difficult to track opponents in motion and there is a delay in mouse movement. When the resolution is lowered, the aiming point itself is blurred, and the flash of fire during shooting literally blurs my entire view. I still hit, but apparently not well enough and I don't have any better ways to shoot in such conditions.
I just DO NOT SEE where I am shooting!
Any advice on how to play at 60 fps with blurry image? Don't play, huh?
In a couple of months I will get a video card that can pull Apex at max settings of 144+ fps FullHD. But for now, how do I play?

dude what no the problem is no * who makes weapons in any world would make their weapons like a musket with 23 rounds. THE MAGAZINE SIZES AND TTK IS WAY TOO SMALL AND WAY TOO SLOW.
