Apex legends matchmaking

@Sethfriedland As the night went on my friends would leave one by one till I was alone. You say you encourage people to play together but if my friends leave because the game is too difficult I’m stuck playing by myself and having the worst time

It happens at all levels. I am a gold player at best (I porobably should not even be in gold), my k/d <1. Yet I get matched against the players you describe.
Some masters complain that even pubs are a swat fest for them, and blame sbmm for it. I understand, but I think there is nothing wrong with being matched against players of your level, given or taken.
I think there is a lot wrong with being matched against players well above your level, say k/d<1 against 4 or 5 k/d, damage <300 vs 1200+ damage players, etc.
This is a recurrent topic. It gets mentioned very often. I am surprised that despite it being a recurring complaint, SBMM has not been addressed properly yet.
Just my opinion.

@Sethfriedland Apart from the Rampart, they are all insane players.

I have huge respect for Masters but they don't fit the 'insane' category for me, they are very good players though and I wouldn't ever take that away from them as I aspire to be one some day.

I get where you are coming from, one of my friends has a gaming community of such and he has introduced them all to Apex legends, the people that have started to play with him are completely raw noobs to the game and some don't even have any experience with FPS games.
He was telling me about his struggles, he even plays on a smurf account with these friends of his and yet he is still getting put into lobbies with stacked Predators or stacked badge players who just shouldn't be in lobbies with them.

It is frustrating, but it's been an ongoing battle.

Don't get me wrong, I think the games should be competitive but it shouldn't be to the point in which you cannot physically do anything when fighting certain squads.

I am a Diamond level player, sometimes even solo queuing it feels as if I am in Predator level lobbies (in pubs).
