Apex Legends Smurfing and Matchmaking
Smurfing needs to be made an Ip Bannable offense permanatly i see countless smurf's everyday I play and I'm getting literally sick and tired of it
Matchmaking needs to be made especially for arenas where its impossible to get put against anyone outside of your rank +1 and -1 anything beyond is unfair and subject to boosting/smurfing
@lightning_5o just try play only movement once in the first lobbies, I was able to dodge a full team of 3 without cover in the first lobbies and get away... you quickly see why the sbmm is in place. I would feel quite queezy going full sweat in those lobbies - and then just think back and realize I was there at some point in time might be a good benchmark 🙂
Asking an already very toxic community, not to abuse a simple, and very easy process, to opening a smurf account is ridiculous.
If you don't want players to abuse it, which is already highly abused, implement different layers to discourage players to opening new accounts.
Don't give me the generic "It's so I can play with my friends" reason, we all know the vast majority of smurf accounts are created to stump new players.
Maybe start with influencers, if thousands of subscribers watch these challenges, what do you actually think little Bobby will do seeing how easy his favorite Youtuber is ranking up, he'll open a smurf account duh! It's a pyramid effect.
Respawn should put on the big boi pants, cause smurfs will eventually detract new players from sticking around, if not already done.
Like what I’ve said in another thread, smurfing is not a problem in pubs since they’re immediately placed in higher tier lobbies after a few games. But the problem is in rank. It’s so easy to reach level 10 and enter rank. I suggest raising that level requirement to at least level 50 to at least detract some smurfs. If I were a newbie at this game, it would have been so demotivating and frustrating for me in ranked to play against diamond up players in bronze/silver.
I know most of us here are competent or above average players but look at it through the eyes of a new player.

This is exactly why I try defend them, not for me I would not mind playing master/pred level to have quicker progress, but that is now hehe when I can bite back 😂
If you're a master player, you should be against masters and preds.
So, your reasoning in favor of why people smurf is:
'I can't win loads of games against my SAME LEVEL, which leads to me feeling bad about my games. So what I'll do, is start a new account to play against lower levels, and so what if those new players all feel bad about their games, because they're fighting people WELL ABOVE their level.'
That's not a great way to fight the case for smurfing, and it isn't a great way to keep new or even average players playing.

Hang on while I just quit my job, so I have time to do that. Sure who needs food, or to pay bills... And of course, every person that plays, plays to be the best - not just for fun or anything like that - who ever heard of something so insane as playing a game for fun?
I feel the same. I can't even play with my sons anymore. Just punished for playing with each other. It defeats the whole team based aspect of this game. Sad. We don't play together anymore. My sons would rather play with a random so they have a slight chance at having some fun - because when playing with me, they get destroyed game after game without mercy or a break or a bone thrown in.
What's the point of a team based game if you can't play with your family or friends?

This is easilly remedied with an alt and switch off sweatmode and just have fun with a p2020 or something together with your son. If you go sweatmode you will be right up there again so you know.
I hear you, I really don't want to resort to making another account. I have held off this long.
Still have little anxiety in regards to possible being banned if I did.
I truly despise smurfing.... and although I appreciate your advice to help enjoy the game with my sons (honestly I do), I just can't bring myself to do it. I don't fault someone for doing what you suggested for only the reason of playing with your kid....not at all. I just cant do it.
But really appreciate the suggestion : )
