You see a guy with a silver eagle, you know he’s an average player. You see a guy with a silver eagle with golden wings, you know he’s above average. You see a guy with an eagle covered in gold with five golden stars below it, you know this guy will be on top of the leaderboard, and if you come across him you probably won’t win. You know he’s one of the best players in the lobby, and if he’s on your team you’re happy about it unTIL HE SWITCHES TEAMS LIKE A LITTLE *
You are legit getting pissed off at a fictional strawman you made for your examples of what you consider a A plus player. As others stated this is not the same type of game as the past with only two teams to side on. A person might be skilled shooter in one game may suck in another or needs practice in another game. Apex brings in special abilities at first glance of joining the game one would look at Pathfinder and see his skills... lacking the type for aggression but yet this is the same class that can gun down a person while also swinging around a corner moment before from above unsuspecting to the enemy who didn't realize they were even up against a pathfinder.
@BIamBoozIe wrote:There is no skill in this game. Game awareness? Yes. Aim? Yes, and that’s pretty much it, and no one has out-aimed me yet in this game if we’re having an equal fight. PERIOD! I’m literally the best in this game!
No skill? There is plenty of things that need be mastered each season looking at what changes the developers make to the map mastering new guns or old guns that were tweaked using each of the legends to best play style you can. Crypto is actually great for survival but not for fighting to say the least. His drone can reveal enemies but can only really with ultimate do minor damage mainly to shields. While Bangalore or heck Gibby are again throw a grenade that carpet bombs a area.
@BIamBoozIe wrote:Or if I get 10th place with 10 kills and someone else gets 2nd place with 0 kills, who’s the better player?
It up to others to value what they think hold be better player but in my mind both would be. That is some impressive hiding and survival in a game against 57 players the odds of 3 to 57 against each other for survival to champion is 5% by you or your teammates and that if we do not take skill into account and just say every person is equally good at the game. as a experiment in normal BR not ranked I went in solo and just annoyed people with crypto drone I became champion not because I shot anyone in fact my kills that match was 0 but my damage was like 300 or something not highest I got and definitely not my best kill performance but I did it for fun and playing it like your in a survival game instead of a pvp match is kinda fun as your goal is to flee best from opponents that match I went through without a weapon and only grab one from a drop pod and ran for last building hoping that I was going to shoot out my opponent in last bastion of hope only to find out they died not leaving the ring in time to make it to me. I am just saying this is not my go to for winning but I just like to have fun sometimes. other times I go little kill crazy oddly enough with Horizon being my first one to ever squad wipe a person. Point is to truly enjoy the game you need to relax in between serious matches by just... goofing off or your rage from one match will blind you 17 matches in still losing til you need buy a new monitor.
