Apex needs more game modes

I'm not sure I would have used the phrase "better suited" to describe the way Apex mechanics could play out in a non-BR format, but I know what you're saying. I agree with Eshshshss​ that there are a lot of people who come to BR games and then complain endlessly about every single factor that makes the game BR to begin with. They come to BR only to want to boil away all the game's unique characteristics until there's nothing left but tdm/slayer. But yes, I can still easily picture (and want) an Apex extraction mode, or a real PvE mode.

I guess in the end if I really thought that Apex was "better suited" to shorter, smaller modes then I would look at Duels and get really excited. Instead of which I look at Duels and scratch my head because I see a mode that boiled away everything this game was good at and left only the garbage that's no different than any one of dozens of arena shooters. It literally made me want to pick up a phone, call Respawn, and say "Seriously? What were you thinking?"

Extraction vs revenant zombies like the good old days. Turrets like sheilla with bots guarding it (add that in BR idc) for quality loot. Toss in some rogue bots on hard difficulty and have em not count towards players in the BR. Honestly, the game maps would feel a lot more alive and if it was randomized even better. Bring on the RNG. The game already has cheaters and scripts for controllers, bring on the NPCs to help us negate some of the b.s a fair 3v3 feels terrible vs a guy with no recoil and walls. Devotions, r99s and flatlines with zero recoil has been so constant.. and no it's not just them beaming me it's them continuing to fight 1-2+ squads and it's pretty obvious. So the point being, the more chaos the better bc cheaters gonna cheat so might as well give em some npcs to lock onto instead or get mixed up by. They don't do their research and typically just try to bulldoze lobbies. Let's make the flyers actually be threatening, grab peeps and drag em to the ring. The game could be a lot more fun with more PVE, make it PVEPVP I think.

Apex needs more game modes? - Maybe, but... Apex needs something else at the moment...

• Apex needs better/different developers than the current ones who have been ruining this game since s21
• Apex needs a better anti-cheat system, as the current one doesn't detect wallhacking, weapon recoil scripts, various macros, and even as it turns out... aim bot
• Apex needs less monetization to make the items you earn have any value... Nothing in this game is special anymore
• Apex needs matchmaking for solo queues, but it's not about a "solos" mode for sweaty preds farming kills
• Apex needs an immediate balance adjustment for all classes, not every season buffing and buffing a few. Ash - remove dash immediately and nerf "q". Ballistic - nerf "q" significantly. Sparrow - nerf his ult's HP and reduce "q's" wallhacking time. Wattson? - I hope this buff is a joke that you'll partially revert in s26.
• Apex needs new, fresh people with better ideas on both Respawn and EA, because in 6 years this game has never been at a worse time than it is now
• Apex needs a player base, but with the two companies currently running the game - it's all about the coffin, not rebuilding the community

Apex is BR

It needs nothing other than BR

If I want to play an arena shooter, i would turn to halo.

(But I wouldn't ever go back, because BR has so much more depth than any arena shooter ever could, it would be crippling boring to play.)
