@reconzeroI've thought about this a bit and agree with you. The whole legends aren't balanced for solo is a poor excuse. Legends aren't balanced for mixtape either. Lifeline can't rez in any mode but BR. Would solos become 60 movement legends running about? Maybe. But that is a choice people have.The original solo mode was trialed a long time ago. It would not hurt to trial is again. I myself would play it now.I feel like shooters have gone the team only route because developers have figured out it helps get some people wins and gives some people the excuse of their teammates for their deaths. Team games are fun as it's very satisfying to be part of a team that clicks. But solo can be fun too.

I didn't really enjoy the solo LTM back when they did it, but I know there were some that did.For Arenas, personally, I would love to see the base mode added to the Mixtape rotation, while they figure out what they want to do with the mode for the future. I would enjoy having it in the mix, with the other 3 modes. It would also give me some extra time before Gun Run comes back around, Lol! It's a fun mode, for me, but still not something I want to play that frequently. It's more of a fun mode to decompress after playing regular modes, for me.

This is the first season I haven't been able to max out the BP since S2!For Arenas, I'm genuinely curious about the numbers, regarding the player base split, when they had Arenas as a separate mode. I know they've always tried to stay away from changes that split up the base, but I never had queue times increase for BR, when Arenas was around. I do play on a highly populated server though, so that might be why. I just don't think that it split the player base as much as they make it seem, but obviously I've never seen the data. I just have my own experiences to form my opinion. I liked playing a healthy mix of both BR and Arenas, depending on the mood. One of the main things I love about Apex is the movement mechanics, so even if I don't feel like playing BR, if I'm in the mood for FPS, I still want to play Apex. Everything else just feels slow and clanky, after playing Apex the last few years. Most of the other games I play these days, aren't FPS games

It's the same line they put out way back when, and I can appreciate the consistency, and I can appreciate that their vision of their game makes it a team-based affair. But I'll say now what I've been saying all along. A dev's vision for their own game isn't always the right vision. If there's a demand for a solo mode then they should step up and meet the demand, not roll out straw man excuses such as, "some legends don't make sense as a solo, while others are just plain over-powered as a solo." Those are weak rationales in my humble opinion. Any given match could be single-legend only. Or player can choose from a limited legend list - legends chosen to work better in a solo environment. I could go on all night about the million ways such a game mode might be made to work, about how teaming could be curbed, about why team only gameplay is not the answer to all things. But they've made up their minds, whatever my inner conspiracy theorist thinks the real reasons may be, and I'm okay with it. Or not, as the ranting might indicate.What I'd really like is a solo PvE mode. How the heck hard would that be???

@OldTreeCreeper Exactly! I'm tired of this worry about splitting the playerbase. If you offer more things that are fun, the playerbase should grow!

@Asmodeus566 I don't agree with the decision. They tested years ago when the game was still newish. I think opinions would change now. Plus this is not always a team game with matchmaking & the way they have Ranked set up. I hope players continue to push for another chance to play Solo & change their minds.

100% on. It's harder to be truly aware of what's happening in a multi-team environment, and so much easier to hide individual weaknesses. But still, if people want the stark truth of a solo mode, no matter how brutal that truth may be, then they should be given it.

@Asmodeus566Respawn refusing to make a solo‘s mode costs them dearly, they seem to not realize how many players they alienate by that decision… and I wouldn’t play it even side from here and there a couple of times.

Removing arenas was another of theese terrible ideas of someone that doesn’t understand their playerbase.nor gamers in general.
you can see in every aspect of ea that it is a stockmarket company, that’s why people that are not gamers make decision's, that’s why they have the worst costumer service I’ve ever seen, that’s why aa is as busted as it is, that’s why they don’t care about Cronus or FairPlay.
ONLY money drives this company and that should be clear to anyone with common sense, I know some whiteknight will now come and tell me that it’s okay that they recolor heirlooms but no it isn’t sorry
