As a PC gamer I think it's time to move on

I have played Apex for many many years and have finally said to myself that Apex is no longer a MKB game.  I just wanted to know if other MBK players feel that same and have moved on or thinking about moving on?  As a Plat, Diamon and Master player in the last 5 dayts I'm lucking to come out with 10 kills and have decided after carefull thinking it's just not a game to be played on PC.  I feel like I'm out matched out gunned and have no shield whatso ever.  Just wanted to know other PC players thoughts?

Peace out

I'll say it again in different words.  The game is 4 years old.  People have been playing this game for 4 years and some of them have been on controller the whole time.   What makes you think that you, as an MnK player, are the only ones that are getting better at the game?  Do you think that controller players don't spend countless hours learning the recoil pattern?  Doing what they can to counter movement?  Learning the maps and understanding which points are better and which are worse.  Understanding the predictable gameplay of others.

If the average controller player were to 1v1 faide what do you think would happen?  If the average MnK player were to 1v1 extacy what do you think would happen?
Have you seen faide's long shot aim?  What about Valhurst?  What do you think his thoughts are?  Then maybe jump to Stormen?  What do you think his thoughts are?  How about Taxi or Reptar?  How come Hiswatson got to #1 Pred?  How did that happen?

Average players are going to complain about aim assist forever.  You are right that it is in companies best interest to make games more enjoyable.  If you are looking for a sweat fest, all skill, no added features what so ever, then this probably isn't the game for you.  But I say again. Try aiming a controller with aim assist turned off.  I did it for a season.  It's a totally different game.  And yes the arm vs the thumb debate is a real thing.  You are talking 128th (most likely more) of an inch vs actual inches.  It's a massive difference.
I do not speak for those who use strike packs or other thing that you plug your controller into. I can spot them out instantly and they are garbage.  Just to be clear.

But I say again.  If you think people who play a game, even casually, haven't gotten better at a game after 4 years.  I don't know.  Seems like you are missing a pretty big part of the puzzle there.

    @ematt84

I used a controller about 90% of my playtime, and I think it's overpowered (started in march 2019), still use one.

While it's true that both input devices have their unique features (without steam profiles), it doesn't necessarily mean they will physically use them. Ability to do something, doesn't mean that person will use it, just means they have access to it (just look at what the internet is mostly used for, mostly never for learning...).

Most m&k users will never use an entire desk just to game, So using the argument of arm vs thumb is nonsensical as most m&k users use their wrist.

I personally like playing DayZ (PC) with a controller even though I have access to a mouse & keyboard, as I just find it more enjoyable. Am I at a loss?, I don't think so. While I also think controllers are more enjoyable, I do not think I deserve aim assistance just to compete with m&k users.

Gaming is meant to be fun, but at what cost to others?

To me, this whole notion of aim assistance and its inclusion or not is a mixture of when businesses use the false notion of accessibility in form of a marketing ploy.

Video game companies want you to feel better about yourself as quickly as possible in a free 2 play title so you're more likely to spend money. Aim assistance plays a role in that. It's not about accessibility and/ or integrity, it's just business.

I don't understand your notion of aiming with a controller without aim assistance. I think the controller is perfectly fine to aim, even without aim assistance (well depends on the user's practice and/ or overall ability I guess).

Here's a thought if you play MnK and have over a 1.00 k/d you are doing better than what 90% of the player base? That includes controller players 😃

@ematt84the one thing controller player try to avoid is the fact that MnK players have to react themselves (visual response time), whereas the aim assist reacts for the controller player instantly + the aim slowdown (overshoot is also a common problem on MnK, not only on controller). that is the main reason serious critics are fed up with it, not that it acts like an "aimbot/lock-on". The "serious" discussion is also not about that it should be disabled, but to have competitive integrity , which means ... let us decide if we want to join a mixed environment and not being forced to join one for the sake of faster queue times. Which would also eliminate the infamous counter argument of the movement advantage (which is a complete different topic to discuss and i personally dont understand why this strawman is always being brought up, those discussions will always look like a phallus measure contest to me ) ... plain and simple !
In regards to The Finals, yes it has some form of Controller Assistance, but its a different approach to any other shooter game, lots of roller players complain it being "wonky. it kinda takes a similar skill approach as if you would learn how to aim with MnK, Embark seems to have competitive integrity at heart.
